教材分析
本单元A friend in Australia 是Module 3 My colourful life的一个部分。文本学习中,学生通过Jill的网友Amy了解到澳洲不同月份的不同天气,同时展开重点句型以及月份的学习,学习中学生领略到了世界的大不同。What’s the weather like in _____ 是学生已经掌握的旧知,本单元主要解决的是12个不规律月份的学习,同时与weather 句型进行语用的融合,以便为下面课时的学习提供词汇基础和思考的空间。
单元设计思路和依据
本单元以Jill为核心人物进行展开。Jill在网络上认识了来自澳大利亚的女孩Amy. 从她们的聊天过程中,Jill发现Amy跟她一样,都是喜欢研究天气的女孩(第一课时)。因此,Jill加入了学校的气象俱乐部。俱乐部里老师向他们介绍了中国四季的划分和天气情况,同时也解决了为什么南北半球季节会相反的问题(第二课时)。Amy发了一封邮件给Jill, 介绍了悉尼的圣诞节情况,Jill也回复了Amy有关中国新年的情况(第三课时)。Jill在妈妈的陪同下,通过手机APP, 体验了在线旅游的乐趣,了解了在不同城市不同月份不同天气的情况下,有什么活动可以参加,也知道了如何给自己选择合适的衣物(第四课时)。
