Lesson 7 Arriving in Beijing
一、教材内容分析:
本课时是冀教版五年级英语下册第二单元的第一课,课文内容是延续上一单元李明、Jenny、Danny和李夫人一行四人去北京旅行,现在到达北京火车站,在车站谈论的一些话题。教学内容贴近学生生活,有利于培养他们在真实情境中用英语进行交际的能力。本课涉及到了一些复杂的可数名词单数变复数的词汇及句型,在教学中应该注意帮助学生进行归类总结。在口语交际时,也要注意句型中单复数的正确应用。
二、学情分析:
本班学生对英语兴趣浓厚,比较喜欢分角色朗读及对话表演等形式。对于名词单复数,学生对可数名词变复数(+s)的形式很熟悉,对其他变复数形式知道的较少。本课中出现的特殊变化形式(men\women\children),学生是初次接触。学生对单复数句型变化有所了解,但应用中还不熟悉,经常会出现错误。在教学中应该注重口语练习,以巩固所学知识。
三、教学目标:
知识目标:
1.词汇学习
听、说、读、写下列词汇:men women child boy girl people many arrive great hotel
复习下列词汇:way people play sing dance run
2.灵活应用的句型
We arrive in...
They are on their way to...
There are...
They are playing...
能力目标:
能灵活使用现在进行时表示正在做的事情。
情感目标:
1、提高学生的观察能力,培养学生探究事物的兴趣。
2、培养学生较好的文化意识与英语语感。
3、增强学生合作意识及良好的竞争意识。
重点难点:
1、要求掌握四会词语:men women boy girl people many和现在进行时及初步了解“There be”句式。
2、能正确运用“ men 、 women 、children”这些名词的单、复数形式。
3、学生能正确认识和使用本课生词并在句式中加以应用。
教学准备:
课件、图片、录音机及相关录音带。

六、教学过程
Step 1:Class opening and review
1、Sing a song. “我和你”
(设计意图:教师与学生一起sing,有利于激发学生的学习兴趣,激活学生原有的知识this, that, boy, girl, man, woman, 为学习新知识做必要的准备)
2、Greeting: Hello! Boys and girls! How are you Are you happy Now, look out the window. How’s the weather today I like sunny days. Because we can go on trips. Let’s go on a trip, Ok
3、Show the picture of “Some famous places in Beijing” to the students. So, Beijing is great! Let’s go to Beijing by train.
(设计意图:出示一些关于北京的图片,使学生不知不觉引入新知,街接自然,容易接受新知识。)
Sept 2:New concept
(一)part 1
1、课件出示boy,girl,baby,child图,What can you see (课件继续出示句型) This is a boy. / This is a child. / This is a girl./This is a baby.……
(板书:boy, boys,girl,girls, baby, babies, child)
Who is a boy Stand up,please. Who is a girl Stand up,please. Who is a child The boy is a child. The girl is a child,too. Boys and girls are children. (板书children),拼读children=child+ren.区别child 与children.
2、课件出示man图,What can you see (课件继续出示句型) This is a man. / One man. 板书:man
2、课件出示men图, Is this a man ( 课件继续出示句型) No,these are men. / Many men.(拼读men,从音形区别man 与men)板书:men
3、用同样的形式,课件展示学习woman, women等单词。
4、课件出示people图, Men, women and children are people.板书,拼读people.
5、课件出示Beijing Train Station图, Look, what’s this place It’s Beijing Train Station.Oh, We arrive in Beijing. (板书课题)
(设计意图:通过多媒体课件出示单词直观、形象,能吸引学生的注意力,激发学习兴趣,并在教授单词时展示各个词之间的联系,渗透给学生学习策略。)
(二)part 2
1、Do you want to know what Li Ming, Danny, Jenny and Mrs. Li see in the train station Now, open your book , look at the part one. Listen to the tape. When the second listening, read after. Then free reading a minute.
2、课件出示Beijing Train Station图, How many people are there in the Beijing Train Station ( Many people )
3、课件展示更多图片, Who are they What are they doing in the train station ( They are buying tickets. They are crying. They are playing cards.)
4、Open your book and look at the part two. Listen to the tape, then answer these questions:
  1) What are the women doing
  2) What are the children doing
3) What are the men doing
Let the student to answer questions and answer correct give evaluation.
(设计意图:学生带着问题听录音,可以帮助学生理解文本大意,利于培养学生语言理解能力。适当的评价,会激发学生的学习兴趣。)

1、课件出示练习题
(设计意图:巩固所学知识,增强综述能力。)
2、课件出示图片, Let’s take a little exercise.
学生分组上台表演:What are they doing
Step 4: Class Closing
1、Class summary .
(设计意图:通过学生小组互评,增强合作意识,体验成功感受,也可以让学生认识自我,成为学习的主人,并促进学生养成认真倾听的好习惯。)
