学情分析
冀教版小学英语八册教材以话题为纲,以交际功能为主线兼顾语言结构,逐步引导学生完成有意义的语言活动。而且加大了对话和课文的语言信息量和篇幅,语言结构也更加复杂,增加了更为丰富、可操作性更强的语言交际活动,教材逐步向学生提供相对完整的、有语境的语言片段,本节课是冀教版小学英语第八册第三单元的第一课: Lesson13 Summer is coming!本单元的主题是今年夏天你要做什么,本单元紧紧围绕李明、詹妮和丹尼夏季喜欢做的各种活动设计单元教学内容,文本内容贴近生活,主要以四季天气特征与树的变化及表达与夏季相关的一些活动。而且,本单元的教学内容与六年级上册第三单元教学内容相呼应,学生的基本知识架构已经形成,为本科学习内容做好了铺垫,这种螺旋上升的知识构建,通过不断滚动复现旧语言而带出新语言,分散、弱化了教学难度,增强了学生进入高年级后继续学好英语的自信心,让他们在温故知新的过程中不断开展更深层次的学习。
教学目标分析:
新课程强调知识与技能、过程与方法、情感态度与价值观三个维度的有机结合,在新课标准指引下,在自己对所授课程的深刻认识和不断揣摩中,根据本单元教学主线和单元话题的情景,着眼学生实际,整体把握,以生为本,合理制定本节教学内容的重点、难点。

难点: 能熟练运用本课句型I like to…表达夏季喜欢的活动。
教学过程
Step1:Greeting and warming--up:
Greet my students, and play a chant with students together.
Step2:Presentation
A: Lead--in:
Ask students which season it is and after it which season it comes, then lead in this lesson, and write down the title: Summer Is Coming!
B. Teaching part one: What season is it
From the different seasons have different fun, lead to what happens to trees in
different seasons.
Show the pictures of the four seasons and ask the students to make a group to observe the changes of trees in the different seasons of the year. And teacher helps students to finish it.
Learning this section knowledge, I will change the picture throughout the year about the tree to disrupt the order of appearance, Let the students describe four pictures, They practise them in pairs. Then the teacher checks the learning effect.
Listen and read this part, and understanding this paragraph.
C. Review: different weather for different seasons
Show four pictures of different seasons and different weather of each season, let students look and match. Then practise “What do you like to do in… I like to…”Let the students show the sentence patterns to the others.
D. Teaching part two: Summer fun
Teacher uses her own example to lead students to express what they like to do in
summer (they can change other seasons to exercise) then exercise in pairs to review the sentential form.
According the exercise of above, use a question to let students come into Part 2
and read the Part 2, try to find the new word "fan", and tell students to pay attention to
the pronunciation and from the picture to know the Chinese mean.
Show the questions to students, let students listen and answer the questions.
Next, show some pictures and let the students to retell Jenny and Li Ming like to do in summer.
Step 3、Check for understanding:

A、Filling in the blanks according to the text, and let the students to make a survey about this lesson in class. (Choose one student of your survey to express.)

Step 4、Summary:
1、Master the weather of different seasons and the change of the trees in different seasons.

1. Talking about what you like to do in summer with your partner.
2.Talking about what the trees happen in different seasons with your friends and try
to remember it.
3. Read and listen this passage, choose your favorite part and write it down.
