教学目标:
学生能够掌握核心词汇及短语:reuse, on both sides, stick...together, put...in;
学生能够在语境中学习How to reuse paper如何做到变废为宝,培养环保意识。
学生能够通过想象和创意,完成写作任务,写一写如何再利用重复利用纸张或纸制品waste paper、envelopes、shoe boxes、gift boxes等等,并准确读出自己所写的句子,做到发音正确, 表达流利;
教学重点:
学习如何重复利用纸张或纸制品How to reuse paper并进行写作;
学习如何制作海报。
教学难点:(明确难点所在、因何而难、解难策略)
预设学生在改写海报内容会有一些困难。
解难策略:通过造句、编对话、听力等多种练习,加深对reuse paper的理解,强化对新单词的使用。
教学过程:
步骤 目的 师生活动
组织教学及复习 创设School Green Week的情境,设置闯关活动1,让学生通过观察、推理来判断变废为宝中使用的原材料,感受创意无限的作品。复习有关环保中如何回收利用旧物等等。 设置闯关活动2,看视频回答问题,复习巩固reuse old things。 3.设置学校举办海报制作大赛的情景,联系生活,激发学生兴趣,激活学生思维和背景知识,鼓励学以致用。 1. 创设情境,完成闯关活动一:给物品分类Trash to treasure。 Alice和Tony来到了学校的School Green Week活动现场,得知学校设计了很多闯关活动。 Alice和Tony 面前摆放了很多trash to treasure变废为宝,重复利用资源的作品,请大家和他们一起找一找,哪些是属于paper crafts, can crafts, bottle crafts,分类放进表格中正确的位置。 2.闯关活动二:Alice和Tony顺利完成了第一个活动,他们准备参加第二个活动,watch the video and answer the questions。知道多少有关reuse的知识。先观看一段视频,回答三个问题,回答正确,得到参赛海报创作资格。 (1)In the video, what do we reuse (预设答案:We reuse old things. We reuse small cans,big cans, bottles and paper.) (2)Why should we reuse old things (预设答案:Because we should reduce waste.) (3)How can we reuse them (预设答案:We can reuse them in many ways. We can put rubbers and crayons in a small can.Then it’ll be a container. We can put some flowers in a bottle. Then it’ll be a vase. We can put pens, pencils and rulers in a big can. Then it’ll be a pen holder. We can stick envelopes together.We can put some cards and envelopes in it.Then it’ll be a nice album.) 闯关活动三:Make a poster.通过两轮闯关的Alice和Tony获得参与本次活动的海报制作大赛资格,他们先要了解海报的内容有何要求。海报主题为How to reuse paper,内容要包括两个部分: Why should we reuse paper How can we reuse paper
新知呈现与归纳 1.简单介绍纸的制作原料和过程,培养学生的环保意识,并为制作海报第一部分做铺垫。 2.通过听一段P58 reuse paper纸的音频,进行填空和连线,加深对reuse paper的理解,为制作海报第二部分做准备。 3.补充拓展第二部分内容:通过听音频排序,确定海报第二部分的内容,巩固对核心词汇的使用。 观看视频:他们上网查了资料,通过观看纸的来源的视频,明白Why should we reuse paper,我们一起看一看,读一读。 We get wood from trees. So we should reuse paper to protect our Earth. 海报第一部分内容准备好了。 听录音,填空并连线。 为了准备海报的第二部分,Alice和Tony继续查找资料,他们找到了一些相关资料,我们来听一听,填空连线。(素材用书本P58的句子,加上之前补充的message pads和paper crafts, 分成三栏,第一栏给挖空的句子,第二栏给出答案,第三栏给出图片,填空,连线) 听音排序。Listen and number. Alice很认真地把第二部分写在了poster上面,但是Tony还想找更多的资料,正确把poster做得更好,于是Tony请教了他的e-friend Timmy. Timmy把材料发过来,可是材料是乱的,倾听Timmy的讲解,排序。Timmy 进行了整理,一起来读一读。
新知巩固与活用 整合海报中两部分的信息和内容,设计出精美的海报。 鼓励学生自己创作,提高语用能力和创造力。 完成书本写作练习,提高学生的英语写作能力。 1.精美的海报设计好了,而且出乎意料地获得了一等奖,在全校进行展览。 (海报第二部分多用图片,句子写两句We can write on both side. We can reuse paper to make paper crafts.) 2.改写海报内容。 看了Alice的海报,大家都跃跃欲试,如果大家有兴趣,课后来尝试改编一下海报的内容吧! 3.Think and write: 完成书本P58练习。
