情感态度：记住朋友、家人的生日并能及时送上关心和祝福，给他人送去快乐的同时，自己也收获快乐。

句型: How old are you ____. I am ___years old.
When is your birthday ____. My birthday is ___.
在口语中的灵活运用。
教具：课件、教学光盘、单词卡片
教学过程：
Step1: Class opening and review
1.Sing a song.(Twelve Months)
2.Greeting
3.Play a game.(Who Is Fast )
Ask the students to look at the numbers and read it.
Step2:New concepts.
1.Ask and answer.
T: I’m 34 years old. How old are you
S1: I’m...years old.
S2: I’m...years old.
S3: I’m...years old. How old are you
S4: I’m...years old.
T : How old is he/she
Ss: He/She is...years old.
2. Guessing.
Show some pictures and ask them to guess their ages.
T : How old is he/she
Ss: He/She is ... year/years old.
3.Teach the new words.
Ask them to look at the last picture(Jerry) .Look at his head, and look at the birthday cake, they can know today is Jerry’s birthday. Then teach the new word: birthday.
Ask them to look at the word: when (They have learnt)
Ask two students to put them on the blackboard. If they want to know someone’s birthday, they can ask: When is your birthday
T :My birthday is December 1. When is your birthday
S1: My birthday is...
S2: My birthday is...
T : When is his/her birthday
His/Her birthday is ...
4.Pairwork.
Ask and answer in pairs, then act out the dialogue.
A: How old are you
B: I’m ...years old.
A: When is your birthday
B: My birthday is...
5. Listen and answer.
(1) How old is Danny
(2) How old is Steven

(4)When is Danny’s birthday
6.Read the text.
Ask them to open the book and read the text in groups ,then act out the dialogue.
7.Make up a dialogue.
According to the text, make up a new dialogue. Then act it out.
8.Make a survey.
Ask your friends these questions, make a chart.

We can ask someone’s age in China, but it’s not polite to ask someone’s age in western country, especially the women.
Step3: Class Closing
Homework: Ask your parents and grandparents’ birthdays, and remember them. On their birthdays, please say Happy birthday to them.
