Analysis of Teaching Background
Analysis of textbook The theme of this unit is traveling around the world. The theme context is man and society. The goal for cultural knowledge of this unit is to let students understand the tourism information of various countries, cultivate their interest in foreign cultures, and lead students to see the world. The listening material comes from a radio program that introduces some basic information about the Eiffel Tower in France and two interesting things about the tower. The new words are tower, finish, lift, step, and stairs. Among them, there are seven points related to numbers in the listening materials, including three words about years. Therefore, the listening text can be used to perform digital listening exercises after students obtain basic information. In the oral part, the first part is the study of 6 phonetic symbols, and the second part is to practice three sentence patterns. They are “Where would you like to go on holiday Why would you like to go to... What would you like to do in... “. In order to achieve the training of learning skills combined with listening and speaking in this class and the logical coherence of input and output, only the second part of the oral part will be taught in this class.
Analysis of students Students are in the second semester of junior high school and have a basic understanding of English. They have already studied the similar topic Travelling around Asia in the sixth unit of the seventh, and they are no stranger to the topic of travel.
