Unit 4 At the farm
Period 1
Ⅰ. The analysis of the teaching contents:
The topic of this unit is “At the farm”. Such a topic is related our daily life, so it is helpful to rise the students’ learning interest. This lesson is the first lesson of this unit. It includes some new words and new sentence about vegetables .So if the students can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the students learn the rest of this unit.
Ⅱ. The analysis of the students:
The students have learned English for about one and half a year. They can say some simple words and sentences. They have strong interest and confidence in studying English. They like to display themselves. So as an English teacher should use useful methods to develop students’ interest of language and offer more opportunities for them to speak.
Ⅲ.Teaching aims and demands:
1. Knowledge aims:
a. Be able to understand and say some new words about vegetables.
b. To make the students use new sentence in real situations.
2. Ability aims:
a. To develop the students abilities, especially listening and speaking ability.
b. Be able to communicate with others in a real scene and improve the ability of communication on the basis of the target language.
3. Emotion aims:
a. Get the students to have the spirit of cooperation.
b. Be able to be polite in real life and find our life is so happy.
Ⅳ.Teaching key points:
1. Have students understand and say new words:
tomatoes,potatoes, green beans,carrots,

Ⅴ. Teaching difficult point:
Be able to use these words and sentence for communication in real life.
