教学重点:能用所学句子对自己制作的玩偶进行介绍,活用知识。
教学难点:(明确难点所在、因何而难、解难策略)
第四课时的难点在于调动学生的动手能力和开口说英语的能力。课文所给的制作步骤相对简单,趣味性没那么强。因此在本课中老师针对三年级学生的个性特点,亲手给同学们示范制作玩偶的详细步骤。教师通过同学们喜闻乐见的方式,调动同学们的动手能力,鼓励大家课后尝试去做手工。同时在课上拓展了几个其它有趣的玩偶,给同学们更多体验的同时,也给他们做了很好的示范。通过学习,同学们学会了如何用英语对自己制作的玩偶进行介绍,对本单元所学的知识多了一个真实运用的机会。

新 知 呈 现 与 归 纳 顺着第三课时的学习情境,Pip正在为自己的卡通形象感到苦恼时,本课时创设Beebo带着Pip到卡通制作馆制作卡通玩偶的场景。 2.了解制作卡通玩偶所需要的工具、材料。在制作玩偶的过程中,再次巩固本单元关于形容外貌的句型以及关于身体部位的单词。 3.通过演示栩栩如生的玩偶进行自我介绍的视频,给同学们示范如何扮演玩偶进行自我介绍,描述自己的身体部位,在介绍的过程中,同学们学会了如何对自己的身体部位进行介绍,为后续的语言输出做好了铺垫。 4.通过挖空文本关键信息,让学生尝试角色扮演,考察学生对文本和本单元核心单词的掌握程度。 5.通过带领学生一起读文本,检测学生在上一环节进行角色扮演时对所学单词的了解程度。进一步加深对文本内容的理解,鼓励学生根据文本内容灵活自由地表演,强化所学知识。 1.新知呈现:创设情境学习新课 创设Beebo带着Pip到卡通馆制作玩偶的场景。 师:Boys and girls. Are you happy I hope all of you are happy. But look at Pip. Is he happy Beebo is talking to him. Let’s listen. Beebo: Hi, Pip! Are you happy Pip: No, my long nose looks ugly. Beebo: Pip, don’t be sad. What do you want to be look like Pip: I want a short nose. Beebo: Follow me. Let’s go to the Cartoon Studio. Let’s make a new cartoon. Pip: OK! Let’s go! 2.Before we make a cartoon. What do we need Beebo: We need some… Paper, glue, pens, scissors, string, sellotape, sticks. (师带领学生读一遍单词,了解制作玩偶所需的材料和工具。) OK, let’s start to make a new cartoon. 播放制作卡通的视频,在视频中演示制作卡通的步骤。 视频:Step1: Put the paper on the desk. Step2: Draw the body parts. You have a big head. Your legs are long. 3.播放Cartoon Pip自我介绍的视频,示范如何介绍自己的身体部位。 (第一遍先播放,不出现文本,训练学生听的能力。) Pip: Hi, I’m Pip. I have a big head. I have short hair. I have two big eyes and two small ears. I have a short nose. This time, please fill in the blanks and try to be Pip to introduce yourself. You can press the stop button and practice by yourself. Ready, go! 学生扮演Pip进行自我介绍。 5.师: Wow, you really did a good job. Now let’s read together and check the answer.(利用鼓励性的语言帮学生加油。) 由于网课时间限制,不能在微课中提供更多的时间给学生进行操练,上课的老师可以在线上教学时按下暂停键给学生更多的时间去进行语言表达训练。
新 知 巩 固 与 活 用 1.通过Beebo带领Pip看了Daddy Pig和Mr. Ostrich的玩偶视频(出自百度视频),在学习文本的过程中进一步深化了对本单元核心句型、词汇的理解。 2.鼓励学生在课后制作自己喜欢的卡通玩偶并进行自我介绍。综合运用本课所学的文本内容,利用所给的语言框架进行表达。 3.给学生推荐电影Pinocchio紧扣本单元Funny cartoons的主题。学生通过欣赏卡通电影,体验卡通带给我们童年的乐趣,从卡通电影中学会勇敢、无私、善良、诚实等优秀品质。 1.Pip非常喜欢自己的卡通玩偶形象,羡慕他有一个正常的短鼻子,Beebo在与Pip的交往中知道Pip也是一个善良的孩子,于是帮助他把鼻子变回了正常的样子。 Beebo: Do you like the Cartoon Pip Pip: Yes. He is so cool. He has a short nose. I wish I could be like him. I want to change myself. Beebo: Pip, touch your nose. Pip: Oh, god! My nose is short now. Thank you Beebo! Beebo: You’re welcome!
