1．(1)reply意为“回答，应答”，一般与to连用，表示“回答别人的话语、信件等”。

(2)reply 与answer的区别
不同处：answer 是一方提出问题另一方回答常用词，例如：
Excuse me , can you give me an answer of this question?
reply 是回信中常用的词，例如在写信中常用此句开头：

相同处： 这两个词都有回答，答复的意思。answer 一般是针对问题questio的回答，会有一个确切的答案。例如：

reply一般指回应，不是针对question的，不需要确切的答案。可译为回复
2．sleep，sleepy，asleep，sleeping，fall asleep区别
sleepy是形容词，困倦的，想睡的。
asleep是形容词，是表语形容词，只能做表语，意思是：睡着的。
例如：He is ________ now。
sleeping是形容词，睡着的，可以用做定语，另外它还是个动名词。
fall asleep是动词词组，表示睡着了。例如：He has _______ asleep。
sleep可以做动词和名词，意思是睡觉。
