Ⅰ. Teaching Contents: Page 45 (Ss’ book).
1.Vocabularies:
New words: hens(hen), horse(horses), cows(cow), sheep.
Revision: ----What’s this . ----It’s a_______.
Extention: wolf.
2.Sentences:

----These are ________.
----Wow! They’re so cute!
Short chants:
Look at these hens. They’re so fat.
Look at these horses. They’re so tall.
Look at these cows. They’re so big.
Look at these sheep. They’re so cute.
Ⅱ. Teaching Objectives.
1. Knowledge skills:
a. Be able to read and write the new words in Let’s Learn.
b. Can use the expressions to introduce a farm.
c. Get more familiar with the sentence structures (involved in the chants).
2. Teaching methods and the abilities:
a. The mainly methods are CLT&TBLT, also, there is 3P (present, practice and production), united the learnt points with the new points, aid by the PPT Slides, video, cards, pictures and so on.
b. Abilities: most of the Ss can use the sentence structures in the right context after class.
3. Emotional skills:
a. To improve their values of cooperation and discipline;
b. Love English study and the animals.
Ⅲ. Teaching keys and difficulties.
Keys: the target 4 new words and new sentence structures.
Difficulties: correct pronunciations of the target languages, and make conversations in the correct context, and have a deep impression with the plural form of these nouns, especially “sheep”---- “sheep”.
Ⅳ. Preparations before class.
1.Student: draft papers, books, study articles and so on.
2.Teacher: PPT (open the Multi-media), word cards, headwear of these animals and so on.
Ⅴ. Teaching steps.
(Before class, Introduce myself to the Ss, and also declare the study method this period: divided the Ss into groups (every groups contain 4-6 Ss), and “get the smiling apple face” stickers as the active performer’s rewards, after class, the champion group will get the real apple!)
Before-tasks (warming-up and lead-in activities).
1.Start the class and greetings.
2.Enjoy an English song “Alibaba’s farm” (PPT slides): an English song to crate the context.
3.Introduce Alibaba(the farmer): Hello! I’m Alibaba. I have a farm. There are many animals at the farm. Do you want to know them Let me show you. (Lead-in the topic and Bb)
While-tasks(presentation and practice).
1. Elicit “hen” by the sound and pictures(PPT slides): read, follow, do and practice.
At the same time, elicit the plural form “hens”, read and practice in the sentence: I can see _____hens.
2. Elicit “horse”. Practice the word and it’s plural form in sentences:
----What’s this ----It’s a_______.
----What are these ----These are ________.
Elicit “cow”, learn them at the same way of “horse”. But practice and read them in the different ways under the helping of the word cards.
Elicit “sheep”, explain and emphasis its plural form by “counting sheep”:
T: Children, when you can’t go to sleep, what can you do I will count sheep...(PPT slides to present the explaining).
Game time.
The wolf coming (PPT slides to elicit the wolf), after learn the wolf: Let one students act as the wolf, and the other four students as the animals, the animals should answer the wolf’s questions correctly, and also act like the animals as they act, and if they wrong or slow reaction, the wolf will catch them and stay them before the class.
Enjoy and imitate the pronunciation of the flash.
PPT slides: Watch part of the animals’ body or listen the animals’ voice and guess.

(三)Post-tasks activities(production).
1. I can say. (pair-work)
PPT slides to present the key sentences and pictures. Firstly, mechanical-practice in big groups, then an example, at last, make conversation in pairs.
2. A chant. (read and do it).
Look at these hens. They’re so fat.
Look at these horses. They’re so tall.
Look at these cows. They’re so big.
Look at these sheep. They’re so cute.
3. Emotional point: Enjoy the pictures, and conclude “Animals are our friends. We should love animals.”
