1.—Which is your favourite 你最喜欢哪一家
—The biggest one in Fifth Street!第五大街上最大的那家。
(1)biggest是big的最高级,意为“最大的”。英语中,多数形容词和副词都有三个等级,即原级、比较级、最高级。
big(大的)→bigger(更大的)→ biggest(最大的)
small(小的)→smaller(更小的)→smallest(最小的)
易错提醒 在形容词最高级前需要加定冠词the。

(2)one的一种重要用法是用来代替前面出现过的名词,以避免重复。如果代替的名词是复数,则用其复数形式ones。

2.I live in a town 15 miles from London. 我住在离伦敦15英里远的一个城镇里。
15 miles from.意为“离…15英里”.“数词+表示距离的名词+from”结构是英语中的常见结构,对“数词+表示距离的名词”提问时,用特殊疑问词组how far.
