教学目标：
掌握核心词汇短语one by one, pea, pod, bigger, stronger, excited, bullet, something+形容词，建立音、形、义联系。
巩固文本中出现的一般过去式：pick(picked), take(took), grow(grew),。
复习序数词描述事件发生的顺序和步骤：first, second, third, fourth, fifth.
本课时将引导学生从对故事的初步认识延伸到分析故事的发展过程，为下一课时的学习留下悬念，学习故事的讲述方法；通过齐读、复述、讨论等系列环节让学生了解五颗小小豌豆们的梦想，明白自己也和豌豆一样生长，从弱小到强壮。
教学重点：
听懂故事内容，理解故事大意，结合所学习故事的语境，掌握核心词汇短语的语意、发音、词形及语用：one by one, pea, pod, bigger, stronger, excited, bullet, something+形容词。
通过对话、制作表格与复述故事，学习故事的讲述方法。
教学难点：（明确难点所在、因何而难、解难策略）
1.难点所在：能够根据行文的需要使用适当的时态复述故事；学习故事的讲述方法。
2.因何而难：各时态之间不断切换；学生归纳概括的能力所限。
3.解难策略：在学习过程中注意方法的指导，如：故事整体用过去式，但引号里直接引语是当时的语言，用当时该有的时态；表格归纳法。

Maybe they could make their dreams come true. But don’t do that in our daily life. Because it is dangerous.
