一、学情分析
本单元的授课对象为六年级下的学生,他们已具备基本的英语听说读写能力。随着身理、心理进一步趋于成熟,他们可以适应更高阶的、难度更大的英语学习。
学生在四下U3 My birthday学习了序数词和具体日期的表达方式;在四下 U11 Children’s Day 首次接触“节日”概念,学习了节日活动的相关句型;在五下U11 Chinese festivals学习了从月份、天气、特定活动等方面介绍中国传统节日,可以完成介绍中国节日的小练笔。综上可以看出学生们已掌握介绍中国传统节日的表达方式,需要教师在单元整体教学思想的指导下,有机整合西方节日的学习内容,引导学生在学习过程中进行归纳、总结、提升。他们已较熟练地掌握字母与常见字母组合在单词中的发音,需要教师引导学生感知句子与短语中的连读概念。
经过五年半的英语学习与积累,他们已具备一定的综合语言运用能力,但本单元涉及的节日主题对于他们而言,既陌生又熟悉,他们可能了解西方节日的名称,却还不太了解这些节日的具体日期、开展的活动,也不懂如何表述自己最喜欢的节日。需要通过本单元的学习达成在实际生活中运用相关核心句型、词汇,写一写自己最喜欢的西方节日的目标。
教材分析
本课Unit11是六年级下册第四模块 Things we enjoy 中的一个单元,第四模块除了Western festivals还包括了Great storybooks和The five peas,该模块涉及西方文化背景知识的介绍。本单元教材内容中出现的新单词与词组有:bright, jack-o- lantern, laugh at 等,但经过仔细阅读后发现,还有一部分是对旧知的回顾融合:listen and say的说明文时态为一般现在时;小故事Rudolf’s big red nose为一般过去时。每个部分分析得出:Listen and say 通过说明文的行文方式,介绍了四个重要的西方节日,让学生感受、了解并能介绍自己最喜欢的西方节日;Read a story 部分讲述了驯鹿Rudolf 有着一个又大又红的鼻子,起初会因为他人的嘲笑感到不高兴,但最后他发现自己的鼻子发光,可以为圣诞老人引路,就再也不自卑了的故事;Make and say 是带领学生做橘子版本的万圣节南瓜灯;Learn the sounds 部分初步引入连读概念。因此本单元通过创设四个主题:Festival’s story, Western festivals, Festival’s activities, Favorite festival ,环环递进,由浅入深带领学生们在真实语境中反复感知语言,融合语音知识,最后达到能向他人介绍西方主要传统节日,并说明自己最喜欢某节日原因的目的。

(1) 能用when 和what两个句式提问和回答。
(2) 能正确使用介词at/in/on介绍不同节日的日期。
(3) 能判断、感知句中的连读,并正确连读。
(4) 能理解故事细节,并简单复述故事内容。
(5) 能掌握英语说明文简单写作的步骤,操练并完成个人写作。

新知呈现与归纳 介绍故事主人公,引导学生观察图片,了解Rudolf的外貌特点。 带着问题听录音,通过观察图片,对比分析,了解故事的起因和结尾。讲解过程中,重点引导学生观察主人公的人物表情,揣摩人物情感变化,激发学生阅读的兴趣,为后面的深入阅读埋下伏笔。。通过图片排序,考察学生对主要事件的了解程度,培养学生的观察能力和图文配对能力。带着疑问,观察图片,预测故事发展,培养学生的读图预测能力。直观有趣的情境语境学习,能增强学生的角色代入感,有利于激发学生阅读的兴趣。教师的追问,能更好的激发学生阅读的兴趣。通过读文和读图,预测故事发展,培养学生的观察能力和读图预测能力。。6.Middle部分故事讲解:在Help Father Christmas at Christmas Eve的情景主线中,通过整体理解到局部细读的方式,分段推进,帮助学生梳理故事脉络。听录音,聆听圣诞老人的语气变化,增强角色代入感。在故事情境中,通过直观的图文配对和讲解,能够更好的帮助学生理解故事。 1.教师出示图片,听录音,认识故事主人公: What is his name He is Rudolf.
