教材分析 本课是外研社新标准英语（一起）一年级下册“Module2 Unit1 Where’s the bird ”。 课文情境是熊猫Panpan在表演魔术，他手里有一顶帽子，通过魔术把小鸟变到帽子里面、上面和下面。Panpan为了分散大家注意力，故意在变魔术的同时询问观众：“Where’s the bird ”变完后，再向观众说明小鸟的位置。
学情分析 一年级的学生，由于年龄小，又加上生性活泼好动，喜欢直观形象思维，对游戏、竞赛、画画特别感兴趣。一年级是小学生学习英语的基础阶段，这一阶段的重要任务在于激发并保持学生学习英语的兴趣。依据学生的英语基础与年龄特点，本课在设计环节中运用了游戏教学法，以激发学生的学习兴趣。
教学目标 知识目标 全体学生能理解并初步运用：Where’s the bird It’s in/on/under my hat.
能力目标 全体学生能用运用It’s in/on/under …….来描述物品的位置。部分学生能用Where’s the ……来提问物品的位置。
