1. even if引导的让步状语从句
[原句] Native English speakers can understand each other even if they don't speak the same kind of English.以英语作为母语的人,即使他们所讲的语言不尽相同,也可以相互理解。
(1)(北京卷)尽管森林公园很远,但是每年都会有很多游客来此游览。
Even if/though the forest park is far away, a lot of tourists visit it every year.
2. more...than...“与其……不如……”
[原句] It was based more on German than the English we speak at present.
当时的英语更多的是以德语为基础,而不是我们今天所说的英语。
(1)与其说她生气,还不如说她更伤心。
She was more sad than angry.
(2)当他们不回家时,与其说我担心倒不如说我生气。
I was more angryhan worried when they didn't come home.
句型转换
(3)Neither he nor you are diligent.→He is no more diligent than you.

3. no such+单数可数名词意为“没有这样的……”,其中单数名词前不可再加冠词,相当于“not such a/an+单数名词”
[原句] Believe it or not,there is no such thing as standard English.
信不信由你,(世界上)没有什么标准英语。
(1)任何事情都是要付出代价的,在这个世界上并没有免费的午餐。
Everything comes with a price; there is no such thing as a free lunch in the world.
(2)世上没有失败,那不过是生活想让我们换个方向罢了。
There is no such thing as failure. Failure is just life trying to move us in another direction.
4. It is requested that ... (should) do sth.据要求……
(1)He requested us not to smoke in the office.→He requested that we (should) not smoke in the office.
(2)The teacher commanded that the students (should) hand in their homework after class.
command后接that引导的宾语从句时,从句中要用虚拟语气,谓语动词用“should+动词原形”,其中should可以省略。能这样用的动词可以用以下口诀来记忆:一坚持(insist);二命令(command,order);四建议(advise,suggest,propose,recommend);四要求(request,require,demand,desire)。
