Teaching Plan
Teaching aims:
By the end of the class, students will be able to
Knowledge aims:
A.know the structure of the present continuous passive voice.
B.know how to fill in the blanks by using the present continuous passive voice.
2.Ability aims:
A.role play sentences by using the present continuous passive voice.
B.communicate with other by using the present continuous passive voice.
3.Moral aims:
A.learn to protect wildlife.
B.learn to be in harmony with wildlife.
II. Key points:
1.know the structure of the present continuous passive voice.
2.know how to fill in the blanks by using the present continuous
passive voice.
Difficult points:
1.express some actions by using the present continuous passive voice.
2.communicate with others by using the present continuous passive voice.
IV. The analysis of students
Students are curious about learning English. They are energetic, active for new things. But because of the weak English foundation of some students, the new grammar-the present continuous passive voice is hard for these students. So during the teaching process, I should pay attention to them.
V.Teaching procedures
Step1. Lead in
1.I’ ll use a short movie Elephants’ Journey in Yunnan to lead to the present continuous passive voice.
2.Let students think: What happened to the elephants
Step2. Have a bird-eye view of the present continuous passive voice. From the short video, we can see
1.The elephants are marching the road.
The road is being marched by the elephants.
2.The elephants are playing with the water.
The water is being played with by the elephants.
3.They are tramping over hills and mountains.
Hills and mountains are being tramped by them.
4.They are eating the grasses and corn.
The grasses and corn are being eaten by them.
5.They are visiting villagers’ homes.
Villagers’ homes are being visited by them.
6.They are walking on the bridge.
The bridge is being walked by them.
Step3.Task1.Please summarize the grammatical knowledge according to the story of Elephants’ Journey in Yunnan.(group discussion)

主语+ am/is/are being done +...
表示说话时正在进行的被动动作, 强调主语是动作的承受者。
表示现价段正在进行的被动动作。但此时此刻不一定在进行的被动动作。
Task2. Fill in the blanks by using the proper form of the words given.(group work to role play)
Villager1:My crop (eat)by the elephants.
Villager2:My house (damage) by them.
Villager3:I (scare)by them.
Police:Don’t worry. Proper measures (take)by our government.Your losses (pay)off.
Task3.Change active sentences into passive sentences(实践应用)
If you are one of the villagers, describe what you see and how you feel by using the present continuous passive voice.

→The elephants are being looked at by me.
2.The elephants are playing in the water.
→The water is being played with by the elephants.
3.The elephants are walking through my farmland.
→The farmland is being walked through by the elephants.
4.A baby elephant is spraying(喷洒) the water.
→The water is being sprayed by a baby elephant.
小妙招:
“三变”原则:
原主变为by短语,原宾变为现主语;谓语主动变被动。
“三不变”原则:
原句意思不变,原句时态不变;原句主谓宾以外成分不变。

2.表示说话时正在进行的被动动作, 强调主语是动作的承受者。
表示现价段正在进行的被动动作。但此时此刻不一定在进行的被动动作。
Task5. Think and talk!(迁移创新)
The wildlife environment is being threatened, so quick actions are doing to protect them. Then how can we protect them
Possible answers:
1.The wildlife habitats are being reserved.
2.More nature reserves are being built.
3.Many advanced techniques are being used.
Step4.Sublimation
Wildlife is being destroyed,like elephants, so proper measures are being taken to protect them!Only in this way can we create a better world!
