Spring Is Coming!
Part 1 Teaching Material:
The content of my lesson is from Shaanxi Travel Press for Grade 5 Unit 2. This unit is about Four Seasons. By studying of this unit, students will understand some new words and phrases . In the other hand, Students can develop their interest in learning English and improve their listening skills and reading skills. At the same time, students can know about the great nature and realize the importance oft protect our environment. From this lesson,As we all know, reading belongs to the input during the process of the language learning. The input has great effect on output, such as speaking and writing.)Therefore, this lesson is in the important position of this unit. If the studdents can master it well, it will be helpful for them to learn the rest of this unit.
Part 2 Analysis of the students:
In the first place,the students in Grade 5 are very active and curious. And they always pay attention to something new easily, but they don’t have the enthusiasm and passion for a long time.At the same time,it’s very vital to teach students to express their ideas with the new phrases and sentences, because the vast majority of the students in Grade 5 are rich in English,including vocabulary and western cultural background.Actually, the most of the students are weak in speaking English,therefore,the teacher should focus on the pronunciation of the phrases and sentences,giving them the more chances to speak English and encouraging them .
Part 3 Teaching Aims:
i.Knowledge Aims:
Firstly,by the end of the class, the students can master the words about seasons deeply and learn about something interesting in each season.What’s more, students can recognize some new words:March,April and May and use the new sentences It’s warm and trees are green. We like to...Summer is hot, but we can...
ii.Ability Aims:
a. Understand how to use the sentences It’s warm and trees are green. We like to...Summer is hot, but we can...and express their own ideas to communicate with others.
b.Improve the reading and writing skills
iii.Emotional Aims:
a.Students will be more interested in learning English.
b.Students can understand cherish time in their daily life.
Part 4. Key Points and Difficult Points:
Based on the requirement of the syllabus,the key points and difficult points of the lesson are following.
i.Key Points:
By the end of the class, students will understand, speak, read and write the words, such as spring,summer,autumn... and use the following sentences What do you do in... /I often...with my friends.Sometimes we... in their daily life.
ii.Difficult Points:
How to understand the new words and use sentences completely in their own life.

Part 6. Teaching Methods
As is known to us all, a good teaching approach requires that the teacher help students improve good sense of the English language. For achieving these teaching aims,I will use the following approaches according to the modern social communication teaching theories.Therefore, the teaching methods are Communicative Approach,Task-based Language Teaching Method, Whole Language Teaching,and Total Situational Action.What’s more,“scene — activity” teaching approach , it contributes to a real scene and interaction between the teacher and the students. Last but not least, CAI can offer a real situation with the picture, so that it can motivate the students’ creativity and imagination in learning English.

设计意图:1.激活课堂和学生已有知识。
2.依据《英语新课程标准》(2011版),对教学中,教学策略的指导。由唱英文歌曲Four Seasons导入新课,以此激发学生学习兴趣,提高课堂参与度。
ii. Presentation(12 minutes)
1. Review the four seasons

T:Boys and girls, how many seasons are there in a year
Ss:There are four seasons in a year.
Teacher divides the circle into four parts.Each part represents each season.
T:What are they Can you write them on the blackboard Who wants to try
Teacher invites one student to write four seasons on the blackboard.
设计意图:结合数学的图形、分类和归纳思想将圆形分为四份,代表四个季节;同时利用顺时针符号,通过图形语言让学生明白四季的更替,为下一阶段的学习做好铺垫。
2. Master the new words
Teacher shows students some pictures about spring and learn about the new words.

设计意图:展示图片,创设情境,采用沟通式教学法让学生在与教师的互动中不断学习词汇,体悟语言,习得语言。在对这三个生词的操练中,多种操练方式交替使用,充分调动学生的积极性进行词汇学习。
3. Master the new sentences

设计意图:采用TPR教学法,以旧带新,调动学生多种感官,让第二语言进入学生的右半脑,使其学生理解语言代码,帮助学生更好更快地认知与理解语言。

设计意图:
1.采用任务型教学法,层层递进,不断提高学生对本课语言的感知和理解。
2.采用阅读教学,分为读前、读中和读后。在扫清阅读障碍的基础上,读前对文本进行预测;读中再次利用任务型教学法,以问题的形式细化学生对于文本的理解,不断进行对功能句型的操练;读后,完成练习并要求学生大声朗读,以检测教学效果。
iii.Practice(13 minutes)
a.Make a survey and write a short passage.
设计意图:结合调查表,深化功能句,形成短文,检测学生是否学会语篇原有的语言,并且检测是否有课堂生成性语言。同时,让学生在合作学习中体会到快乐,学会与同伴合作学习,将课堂真正地还给学生。最后,让学生上讲台展示。

设计意图:与英语为母语的外国人对话,可激发学生的学习兴趣;同时,可提高学生的口语能力。最后,学生可直接与外国人进行对话,表达自己的想法,以此复习本节课所学,运用所学。
iv. Conclusion(3 minutes)
Invite students to be a little teacher to summarize what they have learned today.
设计意图:此处采用“小老师”,让学生自主总结本课所学,体现学生是课堂的主体。同时,有利于教师了解学生对于本课的掌握情况。
v.Finish Emotional Aims(2 minutes)
The teacher shows students some pictures about four seasons.And tell students how time flies,please don’t wast time.
设计意图:完成教学情感目标,通过展示四季的图片,让电子板书发生转动,演示四季更替之快,以此勉力学生珍惜当下。
vi.Homework(2 mintues)

1.Write a short passage about Spring/Summer/Autumn/Winter.
2.Make a plan of spring outing with your parents.
设计意图:作业为二选一,分层作业,可帮助学生发展个性,因材施教。
VI. Blackboard Design
Blackboard is so important and necessary for to master the knowledge they learned after class. It can provide the key words and a thinking map so as to lead students to review what they have learned. On the blackboard, the circle represents a year. According to the account of seasons, the blackboard is divided into four parts.Each part stands for each season, spring, summer,autumn,winter. What’s more,in spring,there are three months, therefore, the part of spring is divided into three parts.Next, persons in diverse seasons have different feelings.Finally, on the basis of students’ sense ,they can describe and conclude the characters of four seasons.And then write their short passage.
VII. Teaching Reflection(教学反思)
针对本堂课的教学实际,我认真进行了教学反思。
成功之处有以下四点:
1、课前准备充分。从开始备课到正式上课,每一步我都反复斟酌。依据《英语新课标》的要求,对教材进行了深入的解读,充分了解其编写特点,最终选定本课教学内容。在选定教学内容之后,我开始对本课教学内容进行精心的设计。从制作词汇卡片到制作动态板书,从课堂原有的单一竞争机制到将课堂竞争机制和课堂巩固环节相融合,力争能够更好地呈现本课,让学生在本课中学有所获。
2、板书采用思维导图的形式。在教授的过程中,遇到本课的重难点时,教师会书写板书,以此提示学生本课所要掌握的内容。板书以一个大圆代表一年,均分为四份,代表四季。而后分别对每个季节进行深入讲解,并表示在板书上,待本节课结束时,板书便呈现了本节课的重难点,形成思维导图。
3、采用数学及地理学科思想,实现跨学科融合教学。课堂中板书采用数学思想,将数学中的分类和归纳思想融合其中。将大圆代表一年,平均分成四份,分别代表四季;而后采用归纳思想,将春、夏、秋、冬的不同特点,进行归纳,引出功能句型;在动态电子板书中,让大圆不断转动,以此表示地球的公转,提示学生逝者如斯,切勿浪费时间,达到本节课的情感教学目标。
4、多种教学法教学相互融合教学。本课时主要是阅读教学,依据《英语新课标》,结合实际教学情况,我采用了任务型教学法、语言交际教学法和全身反应教学法,帮助学生进行语言的输入,并且在课堂上不断鼓励学生,不断及时反馈,坚持正面管教,鼓励学生大胆输出语言。
不足之处如下:
本堂课预设基本到位,但在实际操作中,个别环节的衔接处仍需锤炼。
总之,在今后的教学过程中,我定会勤加练习,努力提高自己的教学基本功和教育教学能力。不断身边优秀的同事学习,不断丰富自己的教学经验,不断请教名师。同时,向学生学习,同心理成长,教学相长,真正地把课堂还给学生。寓乐于教,寓教于乐,培养学生的核心能力,做一名无愧于学生的教师!不忘初心,方得始终!
