1. My daughter is 16 and my boy is already
in junior high school.

1) each在句中对we进行限定，表示“（两
个或两个以上的人或物种）各自；每
个”。
2) 句中we no longer use是由that引导的定
语从句，修饰前面的名词five things。
3) 句中no longer的意思是“不再；不复”，
有时可用not … any longer或not …
anymore替换。
4. My daughter was more understanding,
although she also felt sad to part with
certain toys.
1) although和though同义，在一般情况
下，可以互换使用。只是though较普
遍，常用于非正式的口语或书面语中，
而although则较为正式。另外although
语气比though重，常用以强调让步概
念。
2) part with为一个短语动词，表示“不情
愿地与……分手，将之送给或卖给他
人”。
