1教学目标
1. 知识目标:学习“King or Queen for a day”相关文化及其他相关词汇,如:raise money, field trip, common, special, order, serve, the winning ticket等。
能读懂介绍国外筹集资金的短文;
2. 技能目标:能根据阅读目的在阅读材料中获取信息,完成海报任务;
能根据所给的相关信息,进行信息转写,完成语言书面输出。
能够通过“中国红十字会征集”活动,完成语言口头输出。
3. 情感目标:了解各国学生筹集资金的各种方式和特点,使学生乐于接触并了解东、西方文化差异和共同之处;
引导学生能以更理智的筹集方式筹集资金。
4. 学习策略:能借助网络学习资源并获取信息。
5. 文化意识: 了解学习西方学生筹集资金的方式。
2学情分析
学生情况分析:起点水平和认知结构分析:八年级的学生经过近两年的英语学习,已具有一定的词汇量和初步的语言表达能力,但特别对于农村学校的学生运用所学英语表达个人观点和感受还是很难达到一定的高度,因此本课时设计要为学生创设运用所学语言获得、处理和传递信息的机会。
学习心理和风格分析:八年级下的学生好奇、爱活动,善模仿,属于视觉型学习。所以学生有兴趣并愿意持续地学习英语是整合的出发点。一开始,教师可以利用信息技术提供的生动的声像吸引学生的注意力,引发学习动机,如英语配音的动画、英语歌曲等,让学生能够持续注意英语语言的表达特点与场景。创设情境让学生更加投入到课堂中来。
3重点难点
教学重点 学生通过阅读文章提取信息,完成海报任务;并通过小组合作完成中国红十字会发出的倡议。教学难点学生根据所掌握和所给的信息,讨论并制作简单的PPT或方案并口头介绍自己的筹集资金方式。

1、教学过程1. Warming-up
(1) Activity 1: Free Talk: Ss will talk about the ways to raise money for spring field trip.
(2) Activity 2: Ss will know about how the students in foreign countries raise money. Jigsaw: put sentences in correct order and then show them in the class.
2. Before reading
Ss predict what the text is about according to the pictures presented on the screen
3. While- reading
(1) Ss read the passage and finish a poster.
