It 的用法总结
1. It 作代词
指代时间、地点、星期、月份、距离和长度等。
It is half past two.
It’s vey cold in the room.
It’s about twenty-minute walk from my home to school.
It’s windy in Guangyuan.
It is Monday today.
2. It 作替代词
指代前面所提到的事物，群体，性别不明或不重要的人或物。
----Who is knocking ----It’s me.
----Have you found your pen
----No, I haven’t found it.
---- The skirt looks very beautiful on you.
---- Ok, I’ll take it.
3. It 作形式主语或宾语,指代不定式，动名词和从句。
①指代不定式：
1. It’s stupid of you to speak to your father like that.
2. It usually takes me 5 minutes to walk to school.
3.I find it difficult to get along with him.
②It 指代动名词
1.It’s no use/good crying over spilt milk.
2.It’s useless arguing/ to argue with them.
3.It’s a waste of time chatting on line.
4.He considers it no good/no use reading without understanding.
It 指代从句(形式主语)
1. It +be. + adj. +that –clause
It is obvious to the students that they should get well prepared for their future.
2. It + be. + n. + that-clause
It’s no wonder that he failed the exam.
3. It + be. + v-ed + that-clause
It’s suggested that I (should) exercise every day.
4. It + vi. + that-clause
It never occurred to me that you could succeed in persuading him to change his mind.
It doesn’t matter whether you like him or not.
注意： 下列结构中从句用虚拟语气
1. It is desired/suggested/proposed+ that从句
2. It is necessary/important/strange
/natural/essential + that从句
3. It is a pity + that 从句
以上三种句型that从句中的谓语动词用“(should+)动词原形”。
It’s strange that she (should) make so much trouble.
It’s suggested that we should take measures to bring down the house prices.
4. It is (high/ about) time +that 从句(从句动词时态用did 或should do)
It’s high time that we did something to stop such things happening again.
It 指代从句（形式宾语）think/consider/make/feel/find + it +宾补+that从句
I think it necessary that we have the meeting.
I once took it for granted that my parents did everything for me.
4. It 用在不能直接跟宾语从句的动词后，尤其是表示好恶的动词，love/enjoy/hate/like/dislike/appreciate/prefer + it +when/ if 从句。
I hate it when someone speaks with his mouth full.
I ‘d appreciate it if you can consider my suggestions.
5.It 作形式宾语放在某些介词后，构成：
see to/depend on/rely on/insist on/stick to + /answer for +it + that从句
I will see to it that everything is ready in time.
You may depend on it that Tom will help you with your English.
I answer for it that he will accomplish the task on time.
6. It 用于强调句
It is/was … that/who…
It’s from the sun that we get light and heat.
It’s last night that he returned home.
7.用在固定短语中
Catch it. Get it. Make it.
Don’t mention it. It doesn’t matter.
It (that) depends. You guessed it.
It’s hard to say.
It’s up to you to do sth.
I can’t help it.(我实在没有办法）
