The teaching goals:
1.Knowlege objectives:

How much is this/that……

2. Ability objectives:
(1)The students are able to make the new conversations using the target languages.
(2) Learn to buy things. Learn to ask for and give personal information when they buy some things.
(3)Be able to make the countable and uncountable nouns clear.
3. Emotion objectives:
Let the students know “It’s hard to make money, we should save money.
4. Learning strategy objective:
Self study and cooperation in groups.
Teaching important and difficult points:
Important points:
1 The words of the clothes.
2 The target language.
Difficult points:
Use the target language to make a conversation about shopping.
Teaching aids :
The pictures of the clothes; a computer; a exercise paper; some “dollars”; some objects.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 . Greeting.
Step 2. Warming-up
Let’s enjoy a cartoon video to review the numbers.(Cheer the students up )
Show some pictures of numbers on PPT, then the students count the numbers from 9 to 0.
Step3. Lead- in
Finish watching the video and counting the numbers. Show some RMB and dollars(1$,2$,5$) on the PPT.
T: What’re they
Ss: They’re dollars.
T: Yes, This class we will talk something about them. You can get dollars for your own team.(Answer more questions, get more money.)Now please pay attention to yuan and dollars(make the countable and uncountable nouns clear.)
Eg: yuan(u.n) 2yuan dollars(c.n) 2dollars
Can you tell me how much is your uniform May be more than one hundred And do you like your uniforms
Ss:Yes/No.
T:If you don’t like it,let’s come to the clothes store.
Step4.Presentation
(1)Let’s go to shop one, there are many kinds of clothes. Show Ss some pictures of clothes .Then teach the new words.
T: There are many kinds of clothes. Look at picture1,What’s this
Ss:It’s a skirt.
T:Read after me.skirt,skirt.What color is it
Ss: It’s red。
T:So we can say it’s a red skirt(review colors)
How much is this red skirt?How much are these yellow shoes
It’s 5 dollar(s). They’re 8dollar(s).
(Like that to teach the new words,and lead in the target language.)
(2)Memory challenge(From top10 to top1).Then ask three Ss to match the words with the pictures on the black board. The others finish 1a.At last check the answers.
(3) Read the words together.
Step.5 Oral practice----Pair work
Sentence patterns:

Step.6 Listening Exercise(2times)
T: Look! That is a Clothes Store(服饰商店). What are those in Shop Two Listen and circle the things you hear.
Check the answers: the hat ;the shorts; the sweater
T: Listen again, fill in the chart.

Step.7 Presentation
Show some pictures of Cindy’s family. Find the differences between big and small, long and short.
T: Who’s she Ss:She is Cindy.
T:Great,she wears a small T-shirt. How about her father
Ss:A big T-shirt.

T:So we can say a big yellow T-shirt. Read after me.
(The same way to compare short and long.)
Step.8 Listening(2b&2c)
T: There is a great sale in Shop Three. Listen to the conversations and circle the things you hear and fill in the price tags.(2times)
Step.9 Shopping game (2d)-Group work
T: Cindy bought lots of clothes. And she also knows how to buy things. How about you Now it’s our show time.
Show the sentence patterns on the ppt to help Ss make conversation easily. And give them some shopping rules.
Step.10 Remember
It’s hard to make money, we should save money.
Step.11 Homework
Oral work(口头作业):
1.Ask the price of your friends’ clothes. (询问你朋友衣服的价格。)
Written work(书面作业):
1.Finish the exercise paper.
2.Buy something for your parents as a gift. Then describe the things that you have bought. (为父母买礼物,并描述你买到的物品。)
Eg:I buy a hat. It’s red. It’s small. It’s $4.
