本课是PEP小学英语三年级起点第二册Unit1第一课时。主要以同学们新学期重新回到校园为话题来展开。要求学生能听会说“I’m from ...”并利用该句型去介绍自己来自哪个国家。此外,学生也要正确理解课文“Boys and girls ,we have two new friends today.”

创设情景进行单词教学,使学生掌握基于情境的语言学习方法。
通过角色扮演、情景模拟活动,引导学生将所学“Welcome!、I'm... 、 I’m from ...”句型应用于实际生活中,培养学生在生活运用中学习英语的习惯。

Step 1: Warm-up & Revision
1. Greetings.
T: Hi,Class. Welcome back to school!
Ss: Thank you!
T: Nice to meet you again.
Ss: Nice to meet you ,too.
T: How are you
Ss: I’m fine,thank you.
2.Play the song — Hello!
Lyrics:
Hello,Sarah!
Do,oh,do. Hello,John!
Do,oh,do. Hello,Mike!
Do,oh,do.
Hello!Hello!Hello!
(At the same time,the whole class need to clap their hands and sang along to create active classroom atmosphere and introduce new knowledge. )
Step 2: Lead-in & Presentation
(接上面的问候,继续话题)
T:Good morning,boys and girls. Ss:Good morning,teacher.
T:I’m Miss White. I’m from Canada.And you?
S1:I’m... I’m from... (The student who raises his/her hand)
接着让更多的学生做自我介绍:I’m... I’m from...
They can answer one by one in groups.
Let’s talk
T:Class,after seeing some old friends,now we will have two new friends today—a girl and a boy. Who are they Let's have a look!Besides,the teacher takes out the headdresses or pictures of Amy and Zhang Peng.
T:What is the girl’s and boy’s name?
Ss:(教师帮助回答)She is Amy and he is Zhang Peng.
T:Is she and he from China?
Ss:No,she isn’t. But he is from Shandong,China.
T:What do they say?
Ss:“Hi!I’m Amy. I’m from the U.K. ”
Ss:“Hi!I’m Zhang Peng. I’m from Shandong.”
T: Well done!
T:Amy and Zhang Peng,Welcome!
Explain and teach students to read the word——welcome/ welk m/欢迎
Teach the word “welcome” by the game “High and low voice”.
T: welcome back. / w/-/e/-/l/-/k/-/ /-/m/, /g :l/. Welcome !
Point to the picture of the girl and say,“A girl!” Lead students to clap hands and chant: welcome,↗ welcome,?↘welcome back,?↗welcome back.?
Write down the word “welcome” on the blackboard.
Look and say
The teacher shows the flags of countries one by one and ask students to talk out the name of the countries in English. If they can not speak it in English,they can use Chinese instead.
The teacher put the headdresses of Mike and Sarah on heads of the two students who were chosen. The student who holds the flag of Canada is Mike. And the student who holds the flag of America is Sarah.
教师一人与Sarah进行课本上的对话,作为示范来帮助学生理解句子“What about you?的意思。)
For example
T:Hi!I’m Miss Li. I’m from the U.K. what about you?
Sarah:Hi, I’m Sarah. I’m from America.
Then let students have a talk to introduce themselves in pairs as a practice.
S1: Hi, I’m Mike. I’m from Canada.
S2: Hi, I’m Sarah. I’m from America.
For example:
T:(Show the name of Amy and the flag of the U.K. on PPT.)
Ss:Hi!I’m Amy. I’m from the U.K.
Step 3: Practice
Read and act.
listen to the recording and read after it. Pay attention to the pronunciation and the intonation of the sentence pattern. (课件出示:播放let’s talk的录音。)
Read aloud
Work in pairs and play a role. Then choose two or three pairs to the front and give shows for the class.
For example:
S1: Hi, I'm... I’m from...
S2: Hi, I'm... I’m from...
Play a passing game (击鼓传花 )
请听音乐,当老师说“停!”的时候,手上拿花的同学站起来,用“Hello/Hi, I'm... I’m from... ”句型做自我介绍 (注:要根据图片所示人物进行角色饰演。)

教学反思
本课时以口语交际为主要形式展开教学。教师以人物形象作为话题的开端,让图片迅速抓住学生的眼球,回顾以前的人物形象的同时,打开英语的记忆大门;同时创造真实的语言环境,让学生身临其境。并采用对话分解的方法,循序渐进,由简单到繁杂,并对重点句型进行强化训练,很好地巩固了重点句型,并让学生对句型灵活运用有了一定的掌握。
