Rules
实义的it作代词时用来指代具体的内容：
1. 指代上文提过的动物或非生物。复数形式为they；
2. 指代性别不明的婴儿或小孩；
3.指代不知道的人（尤指打电话和敲门的状态下）；
4.指代前文出现的动作、状况和观点。
Tips:指代宠物时，常可用he或she来代替it。
指代国家时，常可用she来替代。
如：He has a cat. He likes to play with her.

A visit to the Summer Palace

We use it to replace the real subject in a sentence.
it 作为形式主语
当不定式、动名词、从句等用作句子主语时，为保持句子平衡，
通常把真正的主语放在句末，而在句首使用形式主语it.
It is necessary (for everyone) to wash hands often.
It is generous (of her) to donate blood to people in need.
（1）It +be +adj.+（for sb.）to do sth.
此处adj. 通常为描述事件的形容词：easy，difficult，hard，necessary，
impossible，likely，important，obvious，useful，useless，dangerous…
（2）It +be+ adj+ (of sb.) to do sth
此处adj. 通常为描述人的品质：kind，nice，rude，cruel，careless，
foolish，stupid，wise，crazy， honest, right, wrong…

Using it to replace the real subject or object
We use it to replace the real object in a sentence.
it 作为形式宾语
it作形式宾语，替代不定式短语、动名词短语及名词性从句，后接宾语补足句，把这类较长的宾语移至宾语补足句之后，使句子显得匀称。
He believed it important to learn English well.
I consider it no good arguing with him.
She made it clear that she wasn’t his girlfriend.
it是形式宾语，to do, doing, that从句是真正的宾语
it 作为形式宾语时，常用的动词有 think, believe, make, find, feel, consider等 ，如：
think/ believe/ make/ find/ feel/ consider it +adj/ n. + to do/doing/ that从句
