The 27th Sports Meeting in Our School
The 27th Sport Meeting in our school took place last Monday, lasting for five days and containing 12 traditional events as well as some new and fun items like skateboarding, of which the track and field was the most exciting. Our class did best in the 800 meters relay race. Happily, I participated in the high jump and won the second. Though I missed the gold medal, I was happy that I challenged myself and gained friendship.
The sports meeting provides a platform for us to show ourselves. Not only does it enrich our campus life, but it makes us understand better “Sports make me healthy and happy”.

At first, Kayla felt disappointed at her parents’ plan for the holiday. How eagerly she wanted to go out to play with her friends! She was against the annoying plan from the bottom of her heart, but she had no choice. First, Kayla was arranged to wash the breakfast dishes. After that, she was asked to give their puppy a bath. She knew it was a hard task, which needed a lot of tiring, careful and patient work. She began the work with great unwillingness.
But things began to change as she was doing the chores. It was brushing her dear puppy with so many soap bubbles that brought her a lot of fun. Then it was on to yard work where Kayla helped to pick up sticks and shot them into a large trash just like basketballs. Work done, Kayla felt proud to see how much better the yard looked. Later on, Kayla enjoyed relaxing in her tree house with a sense of achievement. The lemonade tasted wonderful after a hard day of work.
