Liangliang was a five-year-old Chinese boy. He lived in a small town. He liked listening to stories and playing games. He was clever and ready to learn anything new. When he began to learn English, he became interested in it. He learned to sing the ABC song and count in English. One day when his mother, a nurse in a hospital, came home from work, he went up to her, looked up and said, “Mum, I can speak English!” The mother was very happy and asked him to say something in English. Liangliang smiled and said, “I love you!” His mother was so excited that she replied at once, “I love you, too!” To the mother’s surprise, the boy said in a loud voice, “I love you three! Four! Five…!”

Susan is my friend from America. She is 14 years old now. She is interested in science and good at it. Every summer she travels with her parents. She has learnt that China is a large country with lots of interesting places. This July, her family are coming to China. I’m very happy to know that they will first come to my city. They will stay here for 3 days. I will show them around the city. Then they will fly to Beijing. I’m sure they will have a nice time in China.
