2 Warm-up 1. Lead Ss to read the poem “Water all around us” and learn about the structure of a poem: lines, verses and rhymes. 2. Teach Ss new words and phrases: well/not at all. 1. 3 Pre-reading 1. Ask Ss to brainstorm on the images of their dads with the help of some pictures of the classic picture book “My dad”. 2. Get Ss to scan the poem and predict dad’s working place. Guide the Ss to examine the lines and verses. 1. Think about what their dads are like in their hearts. 2. Make a prediction about the poem and examine the lines and verses.
