被动语态(一)
一、 语态概述:
英语中有两种语态:主动语态和被动语态。
1. 主动语态:主语是动作的执行者。
Many people speak Chinese. 很多人说汉语。
(speak 的动作是由主语many people来执行的。)
2. 被动语态:主语是动作的承受者,即行为动作的对象。
Chinese is spoken by many people. 汉语被很多人说。
(主语Chinese是动词speak的承受者。)
二、被动语态的构成:
被动语态的基本结构是“助动词be+动词的过去分词”,助动词be有人称、数和时态的变化,其变化规则与连系动词be完全一样。变为否定式时,只需在助动词后面加上not即可。

一般将来时的被动语态 (1)主语+shall/will be+及物动词的过去分词+(by+人称代词的宾格)+其他 (2)主语+be going to be+及物动词的过去分词+(by+人称代词的宾格)+其他 He will be taken to the park on Sunday. 星期天有人要带他去公园。 More factories are going to be built in my hometown. 我的家乡会建更多的工厂。
三、被动语态的用法:
1. 不知道或没有必要说明动作的执行者是谁。
Ten new computers were stolen last week. 上周,10台新电脑被偷了。
2. 强调动作的承受者,而不强调动作的执行者。
The work will be finished on time. 工作将会被按时完成。
3. 说话或发表意见时,为了显得客观公正,也常常用被动语态。
It is said that … 据说……
It is reported that … 据报道……
It is believed that … 人们相信……
It is hoped that … 希望……
4. 有些动词习惯上只用于被动语态。
I was born in Guangdong Province. 我在广东省出生。
四、主动语态变被动语态的方法:
1. 主动语态的宾语变为被动语态的主语。
2. 主动语态的谓语动词由主动语态形式变为被动语态形式:助动词be+动词的过去分词。虽然其人称和数随主语的变化而变化,但动词的时态保持不变。
3. 主动语态的主语变为介词by的宾语,组成介宾短语,放在被动
语态的谓语动词之后。在无须说明动作的执行者或只强调动作的承受者时,by短语可以省略。
主动语态:My father repaired the car yesterday.
被动语态:The car was repaired by my father yesterday.
