When talking about obeying rules,Abby will never forget her experience with her father and her pet Tobias,a small mouse at the airport years ago.
One day,Abby's father was taking her to visit her grandmother and they are not allowed to take a mouse into another country. It was a rule. But Abby put the mouse into her sock in her bag secretly without telling her dad. When they arrived at the airport, they had to be checked by the X-ray machine. Abby felt her legs shaking and her heart beating fast. Unexpectedly, they passed.
On the plane,Abby opened up the bag after her dad and the woman next to her fell asleep. Tobias was excited to jump out from the bag. He landed upside down on the woman's knee. At last, her dad had to pay a big fine(罚款)for what Abby did. It cost a lot of money. And Tobias had to go into quarantine(隔离检疫)for six months.

Did you watch the opening ceremony(开幕式) of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games It’s totally different from that of the 2008 Summer Games. Because there were no stars, no celebrities or professional performers(专业表演者). Just common people showed the world who they are.
“It is time to show a modern China and common Chinese people, especially the younger people, to the world instead of always paying attention to the country's 5,000-year history,” said Zhang Yimou, director of the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games. He also directed the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games ceremony. It offered people a look of China's wonderful and long history.
At the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, there were about 3,000 people from all walks of life. More than 90 percent of them are students between the ages of 5 and 25. Did you remember the children singing the Olympic anthem(《奥林匹克圣歌》) They were primary school students who came from Fuping, a small county in Hebei. Many live in villages and their parents are either farmers or migrant workers(农民工). It was the first time the 44 little singers had left home to perform in Beijing. Although most didn’t have any singing experience, their songs touched people's hearts. It will be a meaningful experience for them their whole lives.
Besides, square dancing is a popular national activity in China, where it's seen as a form of daily exercise. So the square dancers from the ages of 5 to over 70 performed in the 30-minute warm-up show before the ceremony.

My dear boys and girls, good morning. Today I'm going to talk to you about my understanding of learning history.
Many of you may think it is a terrible thing to study history. You may often wonder why we students should study something that has nothing to do with our own lives. If you think that way, I should say you are far from the truth.
In fact, if we study history, we can learn quite a lot about personal stories and events of people just like us. The people who came before us helped build and develop the country we are living in. Their ideas often solved many of our problems and troubles. Studying the past helps us to understand what our ancestors' lives were like. And it also helps us to see how their experiences have shaped our own life.
To be honest, ▲ . Some of what we study in history helps us understand the mistakes of the past. And these mistakes will help people not to do the same wrong things. People often learn from the past to have a better future.
Whether we like the subject of history or not, we must understand the importance of the events and the people who came before us. Our ancestors' decisions have influenced our own life. Similarly, the decisions of our own generation (一代人) will finally influence those who come after us. In this only way, the world is truly connected.
History is not just a study of the past. History is the study of people, places, and events that can influence the future.
Now do you still think studying history is a sad thing Or do you have any doubt about learning history If you have any question, just feel free to ask.

One possible version:
Hi. Mike,
Everything is OK with me. I'm sorry to hear that you have trouble in exams. I'd like to give you some suggestions.
First of all, don't be nervous. You can take a deep breath before you take an exam. It's easier for you to make careless mistakes when you're nervous. Secondly, take your exams seriously. You should read the words on the paper slowly and carefully so that you will make fewer mistakes caused by misunderstanding the questions. Last but not least, check your answers carefully after you finish the paper. In this way, you can find out some wrong answers and correct them just in time.
Hope my suggestions are practical for you. I'm looking forward to your reply.
