教 学 过 程 Step1 Lead in Present the pictures of the foreign classics. Ask: T: Do you like reading books Ss: Yes. I do. T: Have you read Little Women S1: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t . Try to match the classics titles with the pictures and know about them a little. This makes students interested in this class. Step2 Presentation 1. T: I like reading books. Here are some books that I have read. 2. Teach the names of books. 3. Ss read and learn. Let Ss check the ones they know in 1a , then make conversations like: A: Have you read… B: Yes, I have. / No, I haven’t . A: What’s it like B: It’s interesting/ exciting / relaxing / funny / … Step3 Work on 1a. 1. Students do it. 2. Check the answers. Step 4 Work on 1b. 1. Let Ss read the chart. Then play the tape. 2. Ss listen and complete the chart. 3. Let Ss listen again, check the answers, talk about the classics. 5. Read the tape scripts. Step 5 Pair-work (1c) Let Ss read the model with a partner. Look at the pictures on the screen, then practice the conversations with the partner. 教学 反思 本课时通过读书日情感教育图片,新颖且吸引学生眼球,也能让学生快速进入紧张的学习状态。与本单元学习谈论中外名著衔接。听力训练,能对听力内容进行整合,并交给学生每一步的听力技巧,让学生记住6本书英文名称的首字母,可以方便填写,节省听力时间。而且在听的过程中,能分段进行,引导学生在分段听力中,抓住关键词,快速填写。

教 学 过 程 Step1 Lead in 1. Enjoy a song: Follow Me Down 2. T: Do you like reading books Ss: Yes. I do. T: Have you read… What do you think of it / What’s it like Step2 Presentation 1. T: Books are ladder of human progress. Let’s talk about some famous books, such as Robinson Crusoe; Tom Sawyer; Little Women; Oliver Twist…by using the sentence pattern “Have you read… ”with the pictures of some classics, which can bring students into 2a-2d more smoothly. 2. Let the Ss read 2a and 2b. let them get familiar with the information which they may hear in the recording later. 3. Play the mp3 for the first time and asks the Ss to try to finish the tasks in 2a and 2b. 4. Play the mp3 for the second time and let the Ss who have finished their work chech the answers by themselves. 5. Play the mp3 for the third time and demand the Ss try to repeat the sentences in the recording. Check their answers. Step3 Pair-work (2c). Let Ss practice the dialogue with their partners. Let Ss make up their own dialogue to practice them. Step 4 Work on 2d 1. T: Amy and Steve are students, they both like reading books. Please read 2d quickly and find out the phrases: decide which book to write about have finished reading grow up put down choose to do sth. on page 25 at least the back of the book hurry up be due in two weeks 2. T: Great! Now, let’s read the passage together. Step4 While- reading Fast reading: Read the passage for the first time. Underline the new words for you. Guess the meanings of them, you can discuss them with you partner. Show the new words on the Bb, and ask Ss to read them correctly. Then ask Ss to do 3b. Find words that have these meanings. Careful reading: Read the passage carefully, find the answers for the two questions in the box. 3. Watch a video ,read paragraph 1 and answer: What things has Robinson brought? We should know the differences between Present Perfect Tense and the tenses we have learnt. Step 2 Grammar Let Ss read the sentences in Grammar Focus, find out how to use present perfect tense.
