Step1. Warming-up and lead-in
Warming-up
(1) let’s chant
Lead-in
Ask and answer
Q1: Do you like hot summer day
Q2: what’s your favorite season
Q3. What’s the weather like in summer
Step2.Presentation
1.Vocabulary learning
(1).Show a picture of the sun , then ask the Ss : What can you see Then another picture to help the students understand the word “sunny ”.
(2).Get the Ss to read the phrase : a sunny day . Get them to use the sentence to ask : what’s the weather like It’s sunny.
(3). Listen to the teacher and repeat after the teacher.
(4). Ss ask and answer
A:What’s the weather like
B: It’s sunny.
(4).Teaching the other five phrases in the same way above .
2. Oral practice
(1). Point and say the phrases in pairs.
(2). Chant together .
(3). Chant in groups.
3.Pair work:
(1). Ask a student to come to the table ,make a dialogue :
A:What’s the weather like
B: It’s sunny.
Teacher shows different pictures and ask Ss to do the dialogue according to the pictures.
(2). Make dialogue in pairs .
(3). Ask some pairs to come to the table and make their own dialogues .
4. Sentence Chain
(1). Show a dialogue on the PPT , then get Ss to practice to say more sentences with in groups .
A:What’s the weather like
B: It’s sunny.
(2). PK : Make sentences in groups , each group has 2min’ , the more the better .
Step3.Consolidation
(1). Play a game.
Guess , guess, guess
Ss can get some gifts in this part.
(2). Check and read the phrases together .
Step4. Practice and conclusion
1. Group work
ppt shows the exercises “read and match”
Ask Ss discuss it in groups and share the answers.
2. Total showing
ppt shows the task,t hen ask Ss to finish it one by one.
3. Summary
T asks Ss “ what have we learned today ”
T asks Ss to discuss with their partners .

1. Recite the new words
2. Do a weather report about Heng Yang.
