【概 述】
本课是PEP教材三年级下册Unit3At the zoo.本单元共6课时，本课是第1课时，本课主要教学内容是能听﹑说﹑认读四个形容词tall,short,fat ,thin能简单运用所学形容词对物体进行描述。能听懂Let’s do中的几个指令。本课是第一课时。

以言语交际为中心，借助现代信息技术，努力为学生创设理想的英语学习环境,我以动物引出本节课的重点单词tall,short,fat ,thin，
【教学目标】
1.知识目标：能听﹑说﹑认读四个形容词tall,short,fat ,thin对事物进行描述。并听懂Let’s do中含有形容词的几个指令。
2.能力目标：能运用所学形容词对物体进行描述，会用It is...这个句型描述身边的事物，能听懂Let’s do中含有形容词的几个指令
3.情感目标;培养学生爱护动物，热爱大自然的情感。
【教学重点和难点】
1.教学重点：准确掌握形容词tall,short,fat ,thin，
2.教学难点：熟练应用句型It is...对身边的事物进行描述。

一、从教学目标来分析
1.在知识目标上看，这是一堂单词课。教学内容是能听﹑说﹑认读四个形容词tall，short，fat，thin能简单运用所学形容词对物体进行描述。要求学生不仅能熟练地运用这些单词，并且能在情景中运行它们，巩固所学知识，达到学以致用的目的。
2.从情感目标来看，要求学生在学习有关动物的语言后，教育学生要爱护动物，保护和谐生态的意识。
3.从价值观目标来看，这堂课培养了学生的理性价值观和美的价值观。
