Teaching aims:
1. 能够在图片和教师的帮助下理解对话大意，并回答读后问题。
2. 能够按照正确的语音、语调及意群朗读对话，并能进行角色表演。
3. 能够听、说、读、写，并在情景中运用句型 Was it interesting What did you do last weekend Did you … No, I had a cold. 提问并描述周末做过的事情。
4. 能够在语境中理解生词 magazine, better 及 faster 的意思，并能正确发音。
Difficult and important points:
Ss can talk about last weekend by using the simple past tense.
Teaching aids: pictures, PPT, tape-recorder
Teaching procedures:
1 Warm-up
(1) Free talk
T: What day is it today
Ss: It’s … today.
T: What do you usually do on …
S1: I usually …
T: What other things do you usually do on …
S1: I usually …, too. 对话，拉近师生距离，并复习学过的动词。
(2) Review
(1) T: What do you usually do on the weekend
S2: I usually ….
(2) T: Today is Monday, March 6th, this Saturday and Sunday, we call “this weekend”. Last Saturday and Sunday, we call “last weekend”. So, March 5th to 5th, we call “last weekend”.
(3) T: How was your weekend
T teaches” It was good/fine/great/OK”, “It wasn't very good”.
(4) T: What did you do last weekend First let’s see our friends, what did they do last weekend.
T shows some pictures.
Review “watched TV, washed my clothes, cleaned my room, stayed at home, drank water ”
Pair work: How was your last Saturday Was it busy / interesting/… Did you…
2. Presentation
(1)Have Ss guess what teacher did last weekend.
T: I stayed at home and read a film magazine last Saturday.
Teach film magazine.
(2) T: I saw a film last Sunday.
Have Ss guess how teacher went to the cinema.
(3) Show the ways to cinema. Have Ss say _____ is faster than _____.
(4) Teach Let’s try. Have Ss finish the listening practice.
(5) Have Ss watch the video. Ask them to listen and do the task.
