一、教学目标
1. 能听懂并理解Let’s learn more部分的内容,培养学生积极、乐观的人生观。
2. 能较为流利地朗读课文内容。
3. 能在一定的提示下复述课文。
4. 能简短地仿写一篇英文人物传记。
二、教学重难点
重点:能较为流利地朗读课文内容。
难点:能在一定的提示下复述课文。

(1) Let’s learn more部分的PPT教学课件。
(2) 教师准备Let’s learn more部分的教学音频。
四、教学过程
Step 1 Warm-up
Sing a song. (What does he do )
【设计意图】轻快明朗的歌曲能迅速将孩子们拉入英语课堂,这首歌也是本节课重点句型的巩固,做到课伊始,趣即生。
2.Play a game.(Talk about your idol)
T: Show me your hands. If I say one, you clap once. I say two , you clap twice, I say zero, you can’t clap. If you are wrong, you should tell me your idol.
【设计意图】这个环节主要是通过孩子们谈论自己的偶像来激起他们学习的兴趣,在问答中也复习了本课的重点句型What does he/she do 也为引出本课的内容做好铺垫。
3.Lead-in
T:Boys and girls, your idols are actors, singers or scientists, but do you know Miss Gao’s idol. Look at this young man, he is my idol. In this class we will get to know him. He is great. Maybe he will be your idol. Please look at his picture. He is Liu Wei.

Ask the students to watch the video first.

2. Let the students listen to the tape again, and discuss the questions in groups, then answer these questions.

3.Let the students check the answers, then make the sentences like this: I want to be a/an ____.
【设计意图】这篇阅读我采用任务型教学,让孩子们带着问题在讨论交流中学习课文内容,通过师生交流,生生交流,生本交流,更深刻地学习课文。这个环节我加入了刘伟的成长经历,帮助学生更深入地理解课文,体会文章主旨,帮助学生树立积极、乐观的人生态度。
Step 3 Practice
Read the text again and again.
Try to retell the story.(act the reporter)
eg: Do you know Liu Wei Let me tell you his story.
【设计意图】通过反复读课文并且复述课文,让孩子们回归文本,能达到学以致用。
Step 4 Moral Education.
T:What did you learn from Liu Wei
T:Liu Wei lost his arms, but he can swim ,play the piano with his feet .We should learn from him. I think If you work hard, nothing is impossible.
