一、教材分析
本课教材为外研社《英语》(新标准)(三年级起点)五年级下册M4U1 Let’s make a home library. 本单元的话题是提出建议。本单元的课文情境是Ms Smart 的朋友寄来了一些书和CD,Ms Smart建议Amy和Lingling设立一个家庭图书馆。Amy和Lingling将书分类摆放:她们将所有与科学相关的书和所有的CD放在一个书架上,然后将所有的词典单独摆放。她们还为朋友们准备了借书卡。可是当Sam和John来借书时,Lingling发现,书本的位置和书架的编号竟然对不上。通过课文情境帮助学生进一步巩固运用“Let’s...”提出建议。这些内容相对比较容易掌握,因此教师应该给基础较薄弱的学生更多巩固和运用的机会,为Unit2的复习巩固奠定基础。本单元共1课时完成。
二、学情分析
本节课的授课对象是小学五年级的学生。五年级的学生上课时能够专心听讲,能够积极主动的发言,思维活跃,善于提问。通过课堂上创设真实、有趣的语境,拓展延伸,为学生提供丰富的语言资源,吸引所有学生都能够积极主动参与课堂学习活动,并有所获是本节课的关键。
三、教学目标
1、语言技能
⑴ 全体学生能听懂“Let’s make a home library. These are all books about science.”
⑵ 全体学生能说:“Let’s make a home library. These are all books about science.”
⑶ 全体学生能朗读课文,阅读相关短文。
⑷ 全体学生能按要求完成语句书写。

⑴全体学生能够初步运用语句: “Let’s make a home library. These are all books about science.”提出建议。

五、教学过程
(一)激趣导入Warm-up and lead-in(5分钟)
1. Sing a song “the library”.

【设计意图】先通过视频直接导入图书馆话题,然后利用对话,温故知新。既复习了已学的语言点,又将语言点切入到本课的话题上,为下面的活动做铺垫。
3. Lead-in, then watch the CD-ROM and learn to say Activity 1.
Sam, Amy and Lingling also like reading. So they’ve got some books for the class. What have they got Let’s have a look.

2. After class, we’ll make a class library together. First let’s learn M4U1 Let’s make a home library. 出示课题并板书。
【设计意图】通过任务呈现,使学生明确学习目标以及学习之后要完成的任务。
(三)课文学习Text learning(18 分钟)
1. Look! Who are they Where are they What things can you see Where these books and CDs from
2.Watch the video with the question “What do they do with these books and CDs ” and know the whole situation.
【设计意图】先通过观察图片分析基本信息,解决生词“CD”再带着问题观看课文动画,让学生有目的地看,锻炼学生获取重要信息的能力,初步了解课文内容感知其语意,为下一步课文学习奠定基础。
2. Read the dialogue by themselves and underline the answers to the three questions. Then talk about the answers in groups.

3. Say the answers and learn to say the new words and sentences with the help of PPT.讲授语境中出现的新的单词”idea, put, library cards, ask, wrong, dear”

(四)训练巩固 Practice(6分钟)

2. 请学生看图,对所学语句进行操练。师先示范图1,然后请一组学生示范,剩余两幅图小组内交流并汇报。
