Step1：warm up T: Good afternoon boys and girls! Are you happy today talk something about our new school with the sentence patten:there is/are…in my new school. Step2 presentation T: our school is very beautiful.do you want to know what was sarah’s grandpa’s school like Let’s go and see together. Review the important words. Watch the video, answer the following qustions. Read the dialogue carefully,and answer the question:what was grandpa’s school like (4)Learn important sentence. ①There was no library in my school. ②There were no computers or Internet in my time. ③There was only a small building on a hill (5)learn important words. star, easy, look up, Internet. Take about (6) important sentence There is/are…now There was/were no… five years ago. Step3 communication (1)talk something about our old classroom and new classroom with the sentence style: there is/are…in my new classroom. There was/were no…in my old shool. (2)watch the video again,follow the video. read the dialogue in group. practise in group. Three people in one group. Ask some to perform the dialogue in front. Step4 Consolidation and Extension look at the two pictures and find the mistakes. Homework. (1)share your happy things with us. (2)make sentence. (1)give the past tense of the following words. (2)watch the video and find the answer.
