Teaching Topic: Unit 3 Spring Begins from March. (The third period, Let’s learn more)
I.Teaching Aims:
i.Knowledge&ability Aims: To enable the Ss to understand and use the sentence pattern “There are four seasons in a year. Each season…” To enable the Ss to say“Spring begins from.../ Spring is from...to...”.
ii.Process&method Aims: Through the games and activities,to enable the Ss to master the knowledge what the have learned in this class.
iii.Emotion,attitude&value Aims:
We should love the nature and love our life.
Ⅱ.Key points&Difficult points:
Key points:To enable the Ss to understand and use the sentence pattern.
Difficult points:To enable the Ss to make up a weather report.

1. Greeting Greet with the Ss and make a self-introduction, then divide the Ss into two groups.
2. Warming up&Reviewing:
Step1 Let’s sing a song. (Months of the year.)
师引导学生说唱儿歌,达到激发学生兴趣和复习月份单词的目的。
Step1 Review and lead in
Just now I said my birthday is in April. How about your birthday (请出12个单词)
Look at PPT, observe the dividing ways of the 12 words。Today we have a new way to divide.
3. Presentation:
1) 介绍四季划分
T: How many months are there in each season
Ss: Three.
T: Great! There are four seasons in a year. And there are twelve months in a year.
So each season has three months. Which is the first season, then
Ss: It’s spring.
T: Which months are in spring in China Do you know
Ss: March, April and May.
T: You are right. Spring begins from March. It is from March to May.
Can you guess what’s the meaning of “begin from” and “from…to…”
T: What about this season It’s very hot. So I like eating ice-creams and wearing skirts in this season. Can you guess what it is
Ss: Summer.
T: Which months are in summer
Ss: June, July and August.
T: So summer begins from June. It is from June to August.
Read it together.
2） Watch the video. (听课文录音,整体感知短文)
3）Read and judge.(教师提出问题,让学生带着问题通读课文,并回答问题。)
(1) There are four seasons in a year.
(2) Each season has four months.
(3) Summer is from July to September.
(4) Winter begins from October.
(5) New Year is the first month of the year.
4). Read after the tape.(教师让学生模仿其语音语调跟读课文。)
5).You are the teachers. I’m a student.
4. Practice activities
1) Group work.
四人一组朗读课文,前两句和最后三句集体朗读,而有关四个季节的句子则每人读一句。
2).Read and match!小组合作:把月份放入所属的季节
Read the passage and match it. Work in groups.
Can you show me your box (让学生上来搭配并板书)
Let’s check it.(回答问题之时,师叫学生把月份贴在黑板上即板书)

Tell the students:Colorful seasons, colorful life. Love nature and love life.

Read the text with your friends and draw the seasons like the way on page 20.
