can是情态动词，意思是“会；能够”，没有人称和数的变化 ，其后要跟动词原形，变否定句是在can后面加not变成can’t。变一般疑问句是把can提到主语前面。
如：Can you play chess
I can’t play the piano.

2.speak的用法
speak意思是“说；说话”。侧重开口说话，不侧重说话的内容，一般用作不及物动词；当用作“说某种语言”时，要用“speak+语言”，接对象要加介词to。
如: speak chinese 说汉语
3. I want to join the music club.
join 意思是“加入；做…的成员”。 常用句型为：join in + 名词
如 ：Can I join in your party
我可以参加你们的聚会吗？
4. play的用法：
play 意为“玩，打；演奏（乐器）”
当后面接棋类、球类名词时，不用冠词the。
如：play basketball 打篮球
play chess 下象棋
当后面接乐器名词时，冠词the不可省。
如：play the guitar 弹吉他
play the piano 弹钢琴
