1) twice 在本句中意为“两倍”，另外，它也有“两次”之意。英语中，“倍数”和“次数”的表达是一样的。once 意为“一次；一倍”，twice 意为“两次；两倍”，“三次”或“三倍”以上则用“数词+ times”来表达。如：four times意为“四次；四倍”。
2）倍数用在比较等级的句型时的用法：
① A + be +倍数+ as +形容词原形+ as +B 意为“A 是B 的……倍”；
② A+ be+倍数+形容词比较级（bigger ...）+than + B,意为“A比B（大……）……倍。如：
