连词是历年中考试题中的必考内容之一。从命题内容来看，涉及并列连词and,or,but,so,not only...but also...,either...or...,neither...nor...等，从属连词when,while,since,as soon as,until等，分值一般在1~3分之间。从近几年的中考试题来看，在具体语境中考查连词的辨析是重点；从命题形式来看，以单项选择、完形填空为主。
考点一 并列连词
1.and,but,or,so的用法
and “和；并且”，表并列或顺承关系 John,work hard and you will make much progress.
but “但是”，表转折关系 I’d love to,but I’m afraid I have no time.
or “或者；否则”,表选择关系或转折关系 Hurry up,or you’ll miss the plane.
so “所以”,表因果关系 The dress was very expensive,so I didn’t buy it.
2.neither...nor...,either...or...,not only...but also...,both...and...的用法
neither...nor... 两者都不…… Neither he nor his children like fish.
either...or... 或者…… 或者…… Either you or she is wrong.
not only... but also... 不但…… 而且…… Not only you but also he wants to buy the book.
both...and... 两者都…… Both she and I are good at English.
1.“祈使句+and/or+陈述句”相当于if引导的条件句，and表顺承关系，or意为“否则” 。如：
Hurry up,or you will be late.快点，否则你就会迟到。
=If you don’t hurry up,you will be late.如果不快点，你就会迟到。
2.but意为“但是”，用来表示转折关系，注意它不能与though,although连用。如：
We tried our best,but we still lost the game.我们尽力了，但我们仍然输了比赛。
3.so意为“所以，因此”，用来表示因果关系，注意它不能与because,since,as连用。如：
It’s raining heavily outside,so you can’t leave.外面正下大雨，因此你不能离开。
特例清单
4.not only...but also...,neither...nor...和either...or...连接两个主语时，谓语动词与最近的主语保持一致；both...and...连接两个主语时，谓语动词要用复数形式。如：
Neither you nor I am right.你和我都不对。
Both he and I are students.他和我都是学生。

考点二 从属连词
分类 连词 词义 例句
表示 结果 so... that... 如此…… 以至于…… The box is so heavy that we can’t carry it.
such... that... 如此…… 以至于…… It is such a heavy box that nobody can move it away.
表示 比较 as... as... 和……一样 He ran as fast as Mike.
not as ...as 不及…… He isn’t as tall as Mike.
than 比…… She jumped higher than Rose.

while 当……时 I was doing my homework while my father was watching TV.

特例清单
1.if意为“是否”时，引导宾语从句；意为“如果”时，引导条件状语从句。如：
I don’t know if they will help us.If they have time,they will come.我不知道他们是否会帮我们。如果他们有时间，他们会来的。
2.从属连词so...that...和such...that...都表示“如此……以至于……”，但用法不同。so...that...结构中的so为副词，后面接形容词或副词；such...that...中的such为形容词，后面接名词（名词前可以用形容词修饰）。
