教材分析 本课时是人教版PEP小学英语六年级下册Unit4 Then and now Part B Let’s try & Let’s talk.本单元的话题是今昔对比，而本课时主要是谈论人物的今昔变化。学生对自己以及熟悉的人的变化都很清楚，主要就是能否用英语来正确的描；一般过去时和一般现在时能否在语境中准确使用。
学情分析 学生已经分别学过一般现在时和一般过去时 基本上能够在各自的语境中用英语来正确表达，但是一旦两个时态混在一起的话，个别学生还是混混淆。这就要求教师多设置活动让学生来加强练习，加之行之有效的多媒体教学手段和采用多样的教学方法，注重知识的反复操练，关注学困生，学生的学习效果相信能好。绝大多数同学听、说、读的能力较好，上英语课的积极性很高，只有少数学生程度一般，教师在课堂上给予重点关注，让他们很好地融入到学习中，使他们在应用语言的过程中获得自信心和成就感。
教学目标 1.知识目标 能够正确使用一般过去时和一般现在时来描述人物的变化； 能顺利完成听力练习； 能够在语境中灵活运用所学进行会话。 2.能力目标 能表演所学对话，并在真实场景中运用所学语言进行真实交流和运用。在对话交流中使学生养成用英语交流的习惯，培养良好的语音、语调和语感。 3.情感目标 学生能够知道通过努力才能使自己变得更好； 能够理解父母的不易，知道感恩和体贴自己逐渐变老的父母。
教学重点 能够表演Let’s talk中的对话并且能够描述自己的今昔变化。
教学难点 different的读音已经时态的正确运用。

It is different. Lead in Let’s chant Before short, short, short. Now tall, tall, tall. Before thin ,thin, thin. Now strong, strong, strong. Before quiet, quiet, quiet. Now active, active, active. Before shy, shy, shy. Now funny, funny, funny. 2.Show the photos of me, my son and Yao Ming. See the differences. Presentation Let’s try. 教师出示多媒体课件，播放听力原声，帮助学生顺利完成Let’s try部分，并简洁过渡到下一环节的学习。 Let’s talk Listen to the tape and answer questions : How did Mike change How did John change Read and role play it. Have a challenge. Cover some parts of the dialogue and encourage the students to fill in the blanks according to their memory. Practice Enjoy a video and say: How did the girl change Before, she was/wasn’t… she had… she didn’t like… she couldn’t… Now, she is… she has… she likes… she can… 2. Talk about your friends and family members. How did they change 四、Consolidation Think about that: How to change to be a better person Show the pictures of Ma Yun and Bill Gates. Now I + 一般现在时. 通过自由对话的形式和多媒体展示丑小鸭变成白天鹅，让学生在轻松氛围中进入用英语表述今昔对比的学习。 由chant和多媒体图片引出新知，并联系实际对学习内容进行操练，学生会感兴趣且把语言运用到实际生活中去。 通过问答的形式和角色表演、自我挑战的方式层层深入，让学生在理解的基础上加以正确的表达。 学生在表述女孩的变化时感受一般过去时和一般现在时的不同。看着一个女婴慢慢变成满头银发的老人，也会使学生想到自己的亲人，比如母亲，视频内容会给他们带来思想上的震撼，让他们学会理解和体贴自己的亲人。 本部分既是练习又是情感升华，让学生知道怎样才能使自己变得更加优秀。 概括总结本节课重点内容，以帮助学生知识形成系统。
