1. What day is it today (教材P50)
Language Points
这个句子主要用来询问星期几, 回答时要用It is ... today. 或Today is ... 表示“星期几”的单词首字母都要大写。
【例句】
—What day is it today 今天星期几
—It’s Friday. 星期五。
2. Would you like to come over for dinner tomorrow (教材P50)
would like 想要......
would like用于表示客气的建议或邀请, 常用于句型“Would you like to do sth. ”中, 肯定的答语为“Yes / Sure, I’d like / love to.”, 否定的答语为“I’d love to, but ...”或“Sorry, I am afraid not.”。
【例句】
— Would you like to go shopping with me
— 你想跟我一起去购物吗?
— Yes / Sure, I’d like to.
— 是的, 我想。
— I’d like to, but I have much homework to do.
— 我想去, 但是我有很多家庭作业要做。

volleyball是名词, 意为 “排球”。所有球类运动名词与play连用时都不加定冠词the。

practice n. & v. 练习
在英式英语中practice为名词, practise为动词。
在美式英语中, practice既可以作名词又可以作动词。作动词时, 其后接名词、代词或动名词作宾语。
【例句】
Laura practices playing the violin every day.
Laura每天练习拉小提琴。
4. How about Thursday (教材P50)
How about … 的意思是“ ......怎么样?”这个句型用来询问对方的看法、意见或打算等, 意思相当于“What about… ”。它还可用来提建议和请求。
“How about ...... ”句型中about是介词, 后接名词、代词或动名词。该句型的肯定回答通常为Of course, I’d love to. / Good idea. 否定回答通常为I’m sorry, but...

5. I’m not doing well in math this year. (教材P50)
do well in的意思是“在......方面做得好”, 介词in后可接名词、代词或动名词。
do well in的同义短语是be good at, 例如:
“My brother does well in math.”也可以说成“My brother is good at math.”
6. We’re both busy all week. (教材P50)
both adj. & pron. 二者(的)
both of ...表示“(两者)都 ......”, 之后加名词或代词的复数形式; both A and B表示“A和B两者都......”, A和B通常为名词或代词的单数形式。both of ...或both A and B作主语时谓语动词用复数形式。
【例句】
Both of them are doctors. 他们两人都是医生。
Both Lily and Lucy are doctors. 莉莉和露西两人都是医生。

7. Nothing! (教材P50)
nothing n. & pron.意思是“无事;无物”。当有形容词修饰不定代词时, 形容词放在其后。
nothing在句中可作主语、宾语或表语, nothing还可接形容词、现在分词、动词不定式、介词短语或从句作后置定语, nothing作主语时谓语动词须用单数形式。
【例句】
Nothing serious! 没什么严重的!
To know everything is to know nothing. 事事皆知, 事事不懂。
