Step1. Greetings
Say hello to each other
Step2.Leading--in
Teacher shows Ss a picture Ask: Who is he
Ss answer: He is Jack Chan
Ask: Do you like him
Ss answer: Yes.
Teacher: He is a movie star then, and he is very famous then. Do you agree with me
Ss: Yes
Teacher: Good. Now, Can you use one word to describe him
Ss: Tall Young Famous….
Teacher: Now, I will give a word, too. Please look at the screen. Young. Please look at the sentences--He was young. He was young then(Pay more attention to“ was” and “then’, let Ss know them)
Teacher shows Ss another picture about him. Using the same method to lead Ss to know the words—“is” and “now”
Teacher shows Ss two pictures together, at the same time shows two words—“then and now” under each picture.(Let Ss know the two words well)
Teacher: So today we will learn this topic---“Then and now”. Unit4 Lesson1. Write it on the blackboard
