Preface
The teacher plays a piece of music named “If you are happy”,then asks the students:“Do you know the name of the song?”after the students anwer,the teacher asks again:“But do you know what happiness is?” the teacher find a few students to show their answers,then say:Maybe different people have different ideas about“happiness”,but the most important is that we must have a strong body and a strong mind,so please cherish our bodies,no matter you are tall or short,heavy or thin.” “now let’s begin our class.Unit 6 Section A(1a-2c) .First let’s look at the language goals.Students read the language goals, and the teacher explains if necessary.
(The music can not only enliven atmosphere but also brings the students into the class.)

Master some adjective words that describe people’s looks and personalities like“tall short heavy thin long hair short hair outgoing wild calm ”and learn to compare people with the comparative degrees of adjectives.“A is_____than B.”Learn to cherish our own lives and to be confident about ourselves.

Teacher says“ let’s have a small game named
‘brainstorm’”.Please list as many words as you can that describe poeple,such as people’s looks and personalities and so on..Get them to write down the words,then check who writes the most words in the class. And encourage him or her.

四.Warming up and leading in
The teacher shows a picture of twins,
The teacher asks“Do you know them?The students answer“No,we don’t.”The teacher says:“maybe we don’t know their names ,but they have the same name:twins.Is it right?The students answer:“Yes.”
Then, can you tell the differences between them?Some students may say“yes”,but others may say“no”They may answer like this:They wear different hats.Their hats are different in color.The teacher says:It’s difficult for us to tell the differences between the twins.But can you tell the differences between these people?
(To lead in the new word“twin”and help them to think about how to compare people )
The teacher shows pictures
 
Get the students to talk about the pictures like this:
A:What does he /she look like?
B:He/She is...........(heavy/thin short/tall)
Then shows another pair of pictures and students talk about them like this:

A:What does she look like?
B:She has..........(short hair/long hair)
Then shows more pictures about describing people’s personalities

Students can talk about them like this:
A:What does he look like?
B:He is..........(outgoing/quiet/shy/calm/wild serious/athletic)
(The vivid pictures help the students to review the important adjectives that describe people.)
Then match each word with its oppssite.The students can do it on their own books on page31,1a.

The teacher says: Boys and girls ,when we compare two persons,we can’t always use the opposite words,then how to compare two persons in one sentence?Look at the sample ,please.
The teacher shows pictures

And say:
Lin Shuhao is tall.(1.91m) Yao Ming is tall,too.(2.26m)
Yao Ming is taller than Lin Shuhao.
Can you put two sentences into one? Please look at the pictures and have a try.Then show more pictures to the students,and help them to finish the task.

Liu Yifei is thin. Chen Luyu is thin,too.
Chen Luyu is than Lin Xinru (thinner)

Zhao Benshan is funny. Xiao Shenyang is funny,too.
Xiao Shenyang is than Zhao Benshan.(funnier)

Liu Huan is heavy. The woman is heavy,too.
The woman is than Liu Huan.(heavier)
(It helps a lot to lead the students to use the comparative degrees.)
五、Listening practice

通过以上词的比较级的形式,我们可以看出,比较级的构成主要有以下几点:有的词
是 加 –e r ;而以不发音的e结尾的词要 再加-e r ;而重读闭音节的词要 最后一个字母,再加-e r ;而以辅音字母+y结尾的词,需要
把 变为 再加-e r .而多音节的词通常要在前面加 ,才能构成比较级。

比较级规则变化口诀:
一.规则变化
1.比较级,有变化,一般词尾加-er。
2.词尾若有哑音e, 直接加-r就可以
3.一般重读闭音节, 单辅音字母要双写,然后再把-er加。
4.辅音字母若加y, 变y为-i加-er
5.部分多和双音节,more 置前面不少它。
(简称:直.去.双.变.more.)

课后反思
1.教学亮点:
八年级上册Unit6的重点内容是比较人物,语法内容是学习形容词的比较级,这是初中阶段非常重要的语法现象,比较复杂,学生感到很难,而本节课是涉及比较级的第一课,学生掌握如何,直接影响到后续的学习。所以,在本课的教案设计中,我重点突出了循序渐进的原则:先由“头脑风暴”这一环节,引出学生对描述人的外貌的词的回忆,同时,也很好的检验出了学生的预习情况如何。其目的就是把本节课所需用的词概括起来,便于后续的使用。接着,利用图片,给学生以视觉冲激的同时,逐步引导学生学习使用比较级来比较人物,这就为听力练习打下了基础,减轻了学生的畏难心理。之后紧接着的对话练习,是检验学生的灵活应用能力。至此,感性认识阶段基本结束,下面到了理性认识阶段,通过观察,尝试,最后归纳出比较级的构成以及句型,让学生真正理解了比较级,尤其是“直.去.双.变.more” 的构成和比较人物的句型:A is 形容词+ er than B. A is more+形容词 than B.的概括,简练易记,省时高效。颇得学生的青睐。而”chant”这一小环节无论是从内容还是从内涵上都是有深意的。从内容上来说,它隐含了比较级的不规则的形式,为后续学习打下基础,同时,从内涵上来说,它又鼓励学生不要满足于现状,应该由good到better再到best.
所以,整堂课上下来,有种“风行水上,自然成纹”的感觉。
不足之处:本节课由于听力内容较多,而听的遍数也较多,所以,挤占了学生笔头练习的时间,当堂写作没能完成。就只能留作家庭作业。还有课堂上的预习新课也没能如期进行。
使用建议:鉴于本节课的容量较大,教师在使用本教案时,可减少听录音的遍数,由听4遍,改为听2-3遍,以节约时间,更好地操练后面的内容。
