Let the students talk as much as possible to know how much English they have known.Help the students learn to introduce themselves freely.Try to encourage the students to talk in English bravely and make them feel interested in English,especially the students whose levels are lower.Try to make the students have confidence.

Warm up
To make friends with the students and know how much English they know.Tell them how to study English first.
Introduce myself and show a video.Then ask what they think of English
Step 2
Watch and learn
To make the students know the meaning of the words directly and pay attention to their pronunciation.
Show the pictures of the new words,such as basketball,volleyball,etc.Teach these new words.
Step 3
Ask and answer
To help the students to learn how to ask some simple questions and learn to speak the important sentences in this lesson.This step is helpful to the next step.
By teaching the new words,the teacher helps the students to grasp the sentences.

Step 4
Ask the students to look at the picture in warm-up, and then ask some questions about it.Then ask them to read what Li Jun says.Then ask the students to introduce themselves as Li Jun does.Then they can come to the front to introduce themselves.
To help the students to use all the sentences they have learnt in the first three steps.Now the students can make a short passage with the language they have learnt today.

Practice listening
To improve the students’ listening comprehension.
Listen to the record and help the students finish A and B in LISTENING.

To check if they have grasped this lesson.
Help students do some exercises in groups

Sum-up
To conclude today’s class and encourage the students to do better next time.

2.Play a game to revise most of the vocabulary and phrases for this unit.
3.Quickly run over the present tense of ‘to be’.

Presentation
1. Have students choose the right answer to fill in the blanks.Then ask several questions about this part.
2. Competing: Boys and girls ask and answer.
3. Ask them to act it out.
Help them to revise the main sentences again.

First, give them one example.
Let them do it like this one by one.
After a while change partners to practice the dialogue.Ask several pairs to act out the dialogue and ask others to remember the information to fill in the chart at the top of Page 9.
