Analysis of teaching material:
This is a reading lesson. The main content of this lesson is on asking and describing health, giving some advice on how to keep health. The lesson focuses on the structure “ What’s wrong with... He\She has... ... had better... Please tell ...(not) to...”. This topic is closely related to students’ daily life and based on students’ common sense, it’s not very difficult for them to understand and learn this part.
Analysis of students:
The topic in this unit is closely related to students’ daily life and students have already learned some phrases and simple expressions about health in former parts. Thus, it’s not very difficult for them to understand and learn this part. But students need to learn how to express these in English and have a clearer idea of this topic.
Teaching aims:
Aims of knowledge:

2.Be able to use feel well, fever, headache,He\She has a ...to answer about
someone’s health.

2. Game
T: Oh, look at my hands. Let’s play a game with my hands. Guess the number.So what number is it (show one finger.)
Ss: One!
T:And what number is it (show two fingers)
Ss:Two!
T:How about this one (show two fists)
T\Ss:Zero!
T:Yeah! You did a good job! So 120 is a phone number.And who can we call this number to Can we call the policeman by 120 Can we call the fireman by 120
T\Ss: No! We can call it to the doctors or the hospital.
T: Look! Here is Colin and Lingling. Oh, they don’t feel well today. They need to see a doctor. Let’s have a look.(show two medical records on PPT)

1. Lingling’s medical record
T: How old is Lingling
Ss: She is 9.
T:What does she do
Ss: She is a student.
T:What’s wrong with Lingling (write it on the blackboard and learn it)
T\Ss:She has a headache.(do the action and let Ss understand it)
T:Poor Lingling! I’m sorry to hear that. What does the doctor say to her
T\Ss:Lingling, don’t go toschoolk today.
Lingling, you’d better drink some hot water.
Lingling, you’d better stay in bed.
Lingling, you’d better have a good rest.
2. Colin’s medical record
T: Oh ,sorry. There is something wrong with Colin’s medical record. Let’s find out what’s wrong with Colin.
(1) T:Colin doesn’t feel well this morning. So Colin’s mother called Miss White to ask for a leave. Can you guess what’s wrong with Colin And what can Colin do (Try to let Ss guess and give some suggestions.)
