Unit 5 What Is He like Let’s talk（Period 2）
【教材分析】
本单元的话题围绕人物性格特征展开。学生通过对本单元的学习，能灵活运用描述人物性格的形容词以及句型What is…like 去谈论人物的性格特征。在处理本单元内容时，学生可以根据已学句型What does…look like 描述人物的外貌特征，进而学习What is…like 去讨论人们的性格特征。我们今天授课的内容是第二课时，以描述人物外貌性格特征展开，并以描述老师的性格特征为主线，从而引导学生们懂得师恩难忘，明白老师的爱永远都是最无私的，让本节课的情感目标得到升华。

Show students a picture of Father Christmas, guide them to talk about what he look like.
(用圣诞老人的外貌性格特征引导学生进入本节新课，提高了学生学习的积极性，让学生带着兴趣学习新知。)
Step 3 Presentation
1. Have a free talk.(Talk about the pictures of Mr. Black and Ms. May.)
(让学生通过自由交流来讨论两位老师的外貌特征，进而来猜测他们的性格特征，为学生的语言交际能力提供了很大的训练空间。)
2. Listen and answer.(Ask students to listen to the tape and answer the questions .)
(通过听录音回答问题，让学生通过主线问题迅速掌握本文主要内容，并且提高了学生的听力能力。)
3. Have an imitated show.
(通过模仿秀的活动让学生对新知有了更好的掌握，从而提高学生的语言交际能力和语言运用能力。)

Ask students to talk about me and guess what I am like.

2. Make an interview.
Ask students to make an interview in groups of six to talk about the characters of their teachers.
