Presentation
Step One
Pretend that teacher is Sam. Ask two boys and two girls to come up to the front. Give each cards for “father, mother, brother, sister”. Give each of them the corresponding picture cards.
Step two
Discuss with pupils what is happening in the picture and read the verse the them
Explain: is coming/ I love him/
look at the pictures and listen.
Encourage the pupils to join in. Practice several times.
Invite pairs of pupils to act out the first verse.
Repeat the steps to teach picture 2 and picture 3.
Play the tape for the whole rhyme. Invite pupils to read and act.
Consolidation
To read the rhyme.
