Try to understand the new dialogue and learn to speak sentences：“What time is it ”“It’s time for……”then use in real life.
Understand daily expressions: Time to go home, kids. Let’s go. Just a minute. School is over.
Let students to learn to cherish time.
Key points:
Master sentences: What time is it It’s ….o’clock. It’s time for…….
和本课时的主要单词和词组: music class , P.E. class , English class , lunch , dinner 。
教学难点：对新句型“What time is it It’s nine o’clock. It’s time for…”的理解和运用。
Teaching plan:
Warm-up
1. Daily greetings
Teacher and students greet to each other.
T: Hello boys and girls!
Ss: Hello Miss Liu.
T: It’s a bright day. How are you
Ss: Fine, thank you.
T: Nice to meet you.
Ss: Nice to meet you, too.
2. Let’s do
T: I’m very happy to hear that. OK, let’s do, stand up, please. Are you ready
Students do actions together.
Presentation
Lead the new lesson
T: Now let’s play a game, OK 拨闹钟。I speak time in English then you put it on the right place. Here we go.边说边复习It’s time for……
T: And now, look at my clock, what time is it now Students answer questions in English. It’s 5 o’clock.
T: Very good. It’s 5 o’clock. School is over. Class is over. Can you guess what does it mean
Students can guess the meaning ,school is over,放学.
T: Well, school is over, what do you do
Ss: Go home.
T: But Wu Binbin and John don’t go home. What are they doing Let’s go on learning unit 2 What time is it Let’s watch the cartoon. 由此导入新课并书写标题Unit 2 What time is it
Let’s talk.
Students watch the cartoon and I will ask questions.
T: Who are in the dialogue Yes, John and Wu Binbin. Can you remember what time is it in the dialogue Can you remember the time 学生回答对话里出现的时间数字。回答快准的给星星奖励。
It’s 5 o’clock. School is over. It’s 6 o’clock. It’s time for dinner. Students use sentence structures to make up sentences. At the same time I lead students to consolidate sentences: What time is it It’s time for…, and use cards to understand: School is over. Time to go home, kids.
Teamwork.
Leaders lead members to read dialogues.
Students in each group follow the video to imitate the pronunciations. I give stars to encourage students.
Practice
Dubbing.
I do demonstrations then each group dubs for dialogues. I give stars to encourage students.
2. Let’s play.
Students practice “Let’s play” on the book.
3. Game: One student uses arms to show time and other students guess what time is it.
Consolidation
1. Consolidate key points in this lesson.
2. Encourage groups getting more stars. Let students cherish time.
Homework
Review key sentences three times and read to each other.
