【学情分析】
This unit presents the tourism. It's very important in the talking topics. It's about one's own interesting travel. The Silk Road is very famous .Our country has a long history.
The students have never been to Xi'an before, so the teacher should introduce this ancient city in Chinese at first. Introduce first stop of the Silk Road –Xi'an.
【教学重点】
1.Understand the meaning of the text;
2.Show your intention;
3.Rules in the museum.
【教学难点】
Introduce the view sights of Xi'an.
【教学过程】
Ⅰ.Lean in
Greet the class as usual and check the homework. Talk about their trips.
Ask the students some questions Do you often travel What places do you travel to Try to say something about one of your trips. Then I tell them about my trip to ShanDong. I enjoy the beach and the sunlight by the sea.
Ⅱ.Presentation
Show the Silk Road to the students. Introduce the history and culture of Xi'an. It is a walled city, The wall in the Walled City is about 12 kilometres long and over 600 years old. And the places of interest in Xi'an.
Ⅲ.Listening
Listen to the tape. After listening, ask the questions according to the text. Who wants to ride the horse Who wants to take photos here Introduce the food in Xi'an. Learn some language points.
Ⅳ.Reading
Reading the lesson and answer the questions. Understand the text better. How long and how old is the wall in Xi’an
After they answer the questions, let them read the sentences try to remember the new phrases in the text. Read articles about the history of the city. Teacher provides guided oral practice using the target language. Let them practice the importance in the text.
Ⅴ.Explanation
1.Try to explain the language points:
(1)a visit to some places;
(2)welcome to the walled city;
(3)walk along the wall;
(4)over means more than;
(5)climb up ring the bell;
(6)enjoy playing the piano and so on;
2.Let the students remember the phrases in the text.
Ⅵ.Practice
Fill in the blanks and do the exercises on the slide. Know about the important points. Focus attention on the points. Ask the students to name the famous places of the city.
Ⅶ.Test
Try to fill the sentences using the words that you learn. Point out the words and phrases, and repeat them. This activity gives students practice understanding the target language.
Ⅷ.Work in groups
Let the students introduce the famous places in Xi'an. Ask some students to talk about the history of the city Xi'an.

According to the text, what do you learn about the places of interest in Xi'an. Try to talk about them and introduce them to your parents.
