I just got a new laptop . It is very helpful . When Ms . Liu asked us to write a report about Easter，I decided to do all of my research on the Internet . I entered some key words into a search engine to find information on this topic . Here is what I found .
What is Easter
Easter is an important festival in Western culture . It’s one of the biggest holidays in many countries .
When is Easter
Easter does not fall on the same day each year . The date depends on the moon，but it is always in March or April .
How do people celebrate Easter
People celebrate Easter with their family and friends . They eat delicious food together . In this way, it is like the Chinese Spring Festival . On Easter Day，many children have egg hunts and eat chocolate rabbits . Rabbits and eggs are symbols of new life . Children believe that the Easter Bunny comes and hides chocolate eggs for them to find .
The celebration of Easter is all about new life. Christians(基督徒)celebrate new life at Easter. Though (虽然)the meaning of Easter has changed over time(随着时间的流失), the rabbits and eggs remain(保留). Children use baskets to collect coloured eggs when they go hunting for Easter eggs.

It is Easter Sunday. Danny is at the park. He is preparing an Easter egg hunt for his cousin Debbie. Jenny and Brian are helping him.
“You brought a lot of chocolate eggs, Danny,” says Jenny. “Debbie will have fun looking for them.”
“I brought an Easter basket,” says Brian. “Debbie can put Easter eggs in it.”
“Let’s hide the eggs,” says Jenny. “Debbie will be here soon. We don’t want her to see them!”
Jenny, Brian and Danny put eggs on the ground. They hide them behind rocks and under trees. Soon, Debbie arrives.
“Happy Easter, Debbie!” says Danny.
“Here’s an Easter basket,” says Brian. “Now, fill it with eggs!”
“I can’t make eggs,” says Debbie. “I’m not a hen!”
Jenny laughs. “We put chocolate eggs everywhere in the park. Can you find them ”
Debbie runs and runs. She climbs trees. She fills her basket with eggs.

eg：The Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. It's to celebrate the lunar calendar's new year. In the evening before the Spring Festival，families get together and have a big meal. In many places people like to set off firecrackers. Dumplings are the most traditional food during the Spring Festival. Children
like the festival very much，because they can have delicious food and wear new clothes. They can also get some money from their parents. The money is given to children for good luck. People put New Year couplets on the wall for good fortune.
The Spring Festival lasts about 15 days. People visit relatives and friends with the words “Have all your wishes”．People enjoy the Spring Festival. During this time they can have a good rest.

固定搭配：enter...into.... 把……输入到/进……

作名词，常用结构：
in search of 搜索，寻找……
search engine 搜索引擎

search 作动词，常用结构：

key /ki / n. (打字机等的) 键；关键；钥匙
adj. 最重要的；主要的
e.g. a key middle school 一所重点中学
key 作名词, 意为“钥匙；关键；键”。key 还有一个很常用的意思“答案”。
the key to 表示“开……的钥匙；……的答案”。
e.g. the key to the bike 自行车的钥匙

one of (+the ＋形容词最高级) ＋可数名词复数, 表示“(最……的)……之一”。当one of...作主语时, 其中心词为one, 所以谓语动词要用第三人称单数形式。
e.g. He is one of the best friends of mine.
他是我最好的朋友之一。
One of my friends in Beijing is coming to my city next month.
下个月我的一位北京的朋友要来我所在的城市。

depend /d 'pend/ v. 依靠；取决于
e.g. You can’t depend on your parents forever.
你不能永远依靠你的父母。
We shouldn’t depend on foreign countries for oil.
我们不应当依赖外国石油。
后面通常接介词on或upon
depend on 的用法：
①后接名词或代词。
You can’t depend on them to do it. 你不能指望他们做这件事。
② depend on/upon sb. to do sth.指望某人做某事

though / / conj. 尽管；虽然
e.g. Though she gave no sign, I was sure she had seen me.
尽管她没有示意, 我还是确信她看见了我。
Although/Though it was snowing, it was not very cold.
尽管正在下雪, 但并不是很冷。
though 和although都可以引导让步状语从句。
两者均不能与连词but连用。
I have lots of friends here; I still feel lonely, though.
在这里我有很多朋友, 可我还是感到孤单。
He stood silently as though he knew nothing about it.
他默默地站着, 好像他对此事一无所知。
though还可用作副词, 意为“可是；不过”, 常放在句末。
在as though(好像；仿佛), even though( 即使；纵然)等固定短语中不能用although。
